Are you giving yourself any special presents this year?

With a new baby around the holidays, I think I'm going to give myself lots of presents under the tree for baby. like some carriers (as if I need more) and some nursing clothes...

I'm giving myself a new sectional couch for Christmas I figure I will be spending enough time there, nursing and cuddling the new one in the corner of the couch, it should be comfortable. We need a new one, anyway, though.
I'm also planning to wrap a few presents for the baby- haba toys, maybe a hanna outfit.

I was just commenting to DH that I don't need/want much stuff this pregnancy (it's #2) but what I do want is expensive! Maybe I'll get me a new sling for X-mas! or diapers - would that be a little wierd??

haha Ive actually been pregnant through Christmas 3 times in the past this will be my fourth time.. and I always get the same thing.. clothes, toy, and a new boppy for baby lol.

Last year I got Lasik eye surgery for myself, so I don't think I can top that. Probably just things for baby and a whole new maternity wardrobe.

Not really for Christmas, but we are going to get a new bedroom set, and completely decorate the master and master bath. Also, of course, we're doing the nursery. I am so psyched about that since we have been living in our home for almost four years now and the upstairs is barely furnished and hardly decorated.

And, we are planning a "Baby Moon" about a month after the birth down in the Florida Keys, with just me, DH, and our new lil one for a week (we're thinking February, and hoping for an early January -or even late December birth).

I already told dh, but am not really sure where we will put it, but I know I will spend most of the first few months in it.

i'm contemplating a slightly roomier car, since we'll have two car seats to accomodate soon. still, i'm not sure.

and probably some maternity clothes - maybe a few items that are not hand-me-downs....

lol! right there with ya!! we're going to wait sometime around the new year, though. we are a one car family with one tiny car (2001 ford focus sedan). i tried today for kicks to see if an infant carseat would fit between the kids leaving us some more time .. no go, lol. a new car for the new year it is!!

not really .. dh is deployed so i usually buy myself a lot more (retail therapy lol) when i'm alone at night with the computer! lol ... this time will just be baby related stuff.

last time dh deployed, i dropped him off, came home and ordered a $500 stroller and all the accessories. :X i sold it a month later after we never used it, haha!! i've been good so far this time.... but that's probably because we have a lot of unexpected expenses unlike last time ... the midwife, a new car, ect.

I hear you. We have one little Honda Civic and there is no way I can squeeze another car seat in there. Well, I know it can be done (there are a few pics online of Civics with 3 carseats), but it really is time for us to be a 2 car family.

To all of you looking for a new car... we bought a Toyota Sienna before my youngest was born because he was our 3rd.. I LOVE IT.. I can fit 3 in the middle row (its the one that seats 8) and its amazing!! I seriously can never see myself in a car or suv again.. and its GREAT on gas

Hmm a new comfy chair sounds nice, I may have to look into that! I think I'll get myself a new nursing pillow and shirt for night time nursing. Maybe some nice post-partum pampering stuff.
