tell me about felting...please

i want to learn how to felt but am not sure where to start. can someone please give me the 101 on felting? tia!

needle felting? or wet felting?
I only know needle.. and seriously, it is far to simple. Essentially you take a wad of wool and then you stab it repeatedly with these barbed felting needles... until it rats it up together like when you get your hair in a rats nest or a tangle (I don't know what you call it when your hair gets tangled... out here we call it a rats nest,lol). By felting it this way or that it forms shapes.
Now with that said. My son bought me a Needle felting kit for christmas...Backyard Birds from this lady:

Within the evening I had the blue bird done and felt like I had a good grasp on felting... I made one more bird and then went off on my own designs... That was January....now here we are in July.. and I recently made a Flock of Felted Flower Fairys (I posted the link it this area)
Seriously.. it is far too easy, lol... so great. you should try.
