I miss my friends from the massage school I was going to (tranferring to a new school for a few different reasons) so I plan on going back to the school to get massages from a couple of them- they were awesome! I got pampered in class with my twice weekly massages.

Other than that, nothing to really pamper myself. I plan on doing some belly painting, letting dd paint my belly later on. For Halloween I want to get someone from the tattoo shop to paint a cool jack-o-lantern on my belly (not scary, but more realistic than a friend could do) and go to the pumpkin patch to take pics. I was thisclose to getting a new tattoo when I found out I was pregnant, so I plan on doing lots of belly painting/henna- it's the next best thing!

What is that? I think I've heard of that, yet I can't seem to put my finger on it. I think I used to have time to myself. Its all very foggy now. :

I am getting a haircut next week. Which is a big deal...I usually only get hair cuts every 8 months or so. I think I even want it short, but I did the my first pg and regretted it during labor when I couldn't get it out of my face. But I'll be home this time and can pin it back in early labor, so it might be okay.
I have to figure out how I want it cut. Nothing hard to fix or maintain.

I also go to my sewing class at least once a week, but that's kinda for baby too since it's stuff for him I'm sewing.

chiropractor. We have a really great one in the area that I have really wanted to see and pregnancy is the best excuse.

Probably accupuncture. I have a medical spending account (I get money taken out of my check for it) that i have to use before December. I thought it would pay for my Doula and it won't-so I'll be getting lots of acupuncture!

we go to the chiro every week, but I'm not counting that, because I do that as much for my family as for myself! Esp. in pg., my arthritis acts up, and regular adjustments are often the only thing keeping me on my feet!

I've been thinking really hard about getting my hair cut...last week, I would have done it, if it hadn't meant that I'd have had to get all three (plus me!) dressed and find a place that I could just walk-in, LOL! Plus, I'd really rather go to a particular stylist who's cut my hair in the past, but she generally has a waiting list. So, I've got to decide if I'm gonna do it and if so, get an appt. made.

I'd love a pedi-mani, but I won't buy one for myself. I've got to somehow drop enough hints that dh will go out and get me a gc for one, lol!

I get the occasional spa pedicure (usually I have a g/c), and I am going to start getting facials once a month to try to help w/ my skin flare-ups since I can't use my usual arsenal of acne meds. Plus, I do take some time each day to just sit down and veg or surf the internet. Very important!

I will be trying a chiropractor for the first time... and I plan on getting my eyebrows waxed regularily... who in the world has time to tweeze with two toddler/preschooler and being this exhausted?

I've been allowing myself to take naps when I need them and buy silly luxury items at the grocery store and turn the AC down as low as I want. Also, I've been making an effort to stay connected with friends and family.

I really want to get henna done on my belly and then pay for some really artsy pregnancy photography. We didn't take hardly ANY pictures of me while I was pregnant with DS, and I'm really trying to take more this time. Plus, I had Henna for my wedding and it made me feel like a princess and I'd love to have it again. I just have to find someone who does nice formal bridal mhendi in our area -- all I can find are people who do peel-off henna tattoos at the county fair and stuff.

I want to thow a baby welcoming party for myself/baby. We had talked about something similar in the DDC before, but if I ask family to do it it'll end up being a baby shower and I'm not in it for the presents, I just want a party.

I also really want to do a nice belly cast and some henna.

AND, we're planning a camping trip from the beginning of October. With my last pregnncy it really gave me a chance to relax and reconnect with myself and the baby.

First off, trying to be more gentle with myself. If I'm tired - I'm tired; if I'm emotional - that's fine too. I'm tired of thinking 'So and so did such and such while she was pregnant, and worked right up to 42 weeks while caring for ten children, etc., etc.' This is *me* - not anyone else. And I also refuse to be guilted by anyone else *cough, cough, my mother* about how maybe I should be doing more, or maybe I should be more active...

Off that tangent now! I'm also doing massage, napping when I want, I went and had some gorgeous highlights put in my hair last week (foil ones), and dp and I are getting married August 31... and I'm doing everything the way *I* want. The relatives are invited, but they don't get an input.
