So what's everyone up to this week?

I start work in the morning, which has me pretty nervous. I know that I am more than capable of doing the job...but new situations always freak me out. I'm a bit of an adjustment-phobe.

Either I'm feeling better (doubt it- I still need help getting out of bed most days!) or I'm learning to just deal with feeling like a little old lady. My hips are still really bad, but I was able to do stuff today. Last week I couldn't go shopping with DH without wincing in pain the whole time. Today I managed to go grocery shopping with just dd and I, wash/lanolize my wool covers, put away a load of clothes and a load of diapers (which is a big deal- we live out of laundry baskets around here!: ), and I have two more loads in the process of washing/drying to put away.

This week my goals around the house are to get our clothes organized and get rid of what we don't wear anymore and put the winter clothes upstairs in the attic (should have done this before July ) for a few more months at least. Also to just keep up with the cleaning/laundry while adjusting to working full time. It's also a goal to not eat out at all- even from the cafeteria at work (being too poor to afford to do this helps ).

I have to mail out diapers tomorrow that I've sold, and list some regular prefolds and two wool covers for sale as well to hopefully bring in a little more money. I'm also hoping a lot of my diapers I'm waiting on will get here (Order #1: 2 fitteds, 1 wool cover, 2 bummis; Order #2: Wool shorties for dd; Order #3: 9 kissaluv fitteds; Order #4: 10 NB Kushies AIOs; Order #5: 12 Snugglebottom fitteds for dd).

Oh, and I FINALLY got another email from one of the two homebirth midwives I'm trying to get in touch with. She's supposed to call me tomorrow (lost my info, and had a hard time getting in touch with me for my number again). The other I just left a message for on Thurs. so I'm hoping I hear from her this week, too.

I'm taking my last regular leave while on active duty, so I get to spend the week with my Sweetie!!! Unfortunately, he isn't on leave, but at least we get to share a bed again. We're planning on doing some golfing & bowling & explored Seoul a bit yesterday.

Have fun spending some time with your hubby, Bonnie! I would love to get to share a bed with DH again (we get to just on his nights off, but even then he's usually not in bed until I'm asleep) at night.

I have my big u/s tomorrow, I'm so anxious and praying that baby cooperates with us. Other than that our county fair starts Thursday and we are entering veggies Wednesday, then Saturday we have a wedding, then we'll be off to the county fair just dh and me. Haven't had a date night in a while so this will be nice.

Good luck Aimee!

I have my 20 week appt today so hoping that goes well. I thought I had a lot of questions but I guess I don't. LOL

Nothing else much going on around here.... well actually I am trying to get DS's "Big Boy" room painted and ready.

We have our big u/s on Wed. and dh was actually able to get off work for it! Yeay! Dh is actually home too. He was gone most of last week and worked 70+ hours so I'm glad to have some adult companionship for a few days.

My mom even took dd over night so that me and dh could have some together time.. which consisted of falling asleep at 10 last night on the couch.

Other than that we are going to small claims court to file against a former child care client that has written us a ton of bad checks and never made good on the money she promised. We gave her so many chances but we really need the money.. We set up a payment plan w/ her of her choosing and never saw any money. I tried working with her to no avail.

Hope you have a great time w/ your husband bonnie!

How frusterating to have someone do that to you Stellimamo- good luck!

I don't have a ton going on this week really... just a lot of studying. Baby is getting more active and that's always exciting. I am going to be selling off my huge stash of diapers in favor of some new newborn fluff... I'll be hunting down prefolds and covers too...

I have my big US on thursday. Quite excited about it, just because I again want to prove that I am right, this one is a little boy, I just know it. (but if I'm wrong that's ok, it'll just be my pride that is hurt, I've told everyone that I'm positive it's a boy.)
And for the rest of the week it will be packing up our house, as on the 1st we are moving to a city that is 5 hours west of here. I'm kind of excited, kind of scared. It's only an hr from my parents, and 4 hrs from parentsinlaw, so that will be nice. Except for the fact that I'm not exactly close with my parents so I'll have to deal with some emotional baggage that I don't know if I'm ready to deal with yet being as I'm pregnant and hormones are raging!
Not looking forwarding to packing though most of it is done. And then the 5 hr drive with just me and dd who doesn't like driving. But that's not until next week!
But inbetween packing and the US, dd, dh and I will spend a lot of time at the pool, and the lake, and just relax! Which will be really nice.

Minsca, good luck on the move!

We've been moving -- we finally got most of our stuff out of the old house and DS is getting adjusted to home being here rather than there. Unfortunatley, now we have to clean the old place, which is filthy beyond all reason. It was never really *clean* to begin with and we've hated living there for so long that we've kind of let things go. I don't want to deal with it at all, but I'm going to have to. Yech.

On the other hand, I'm loving the new place. And this is my last week before I start the booby-prize temp job I've been handed (Actually, it isn't a bad at all, it's just a weird situation to be hired because the previous person was terrible and they need damage control...), so I'm planning on relaxing and enjoying our new house and neighborhood and the time with DS.

I just thought I'd drop in and say hi! Not much going on this week. My big U/S is next week (August 2). I decided to switch midwives because of many reasons-one being how the news of my bloodwork was given to me. The M/W was kind of tragic about it. I've had time to think and 1 in 155 is not bad. Also DP and I decided that we would not terminate this pregnancy- I feel movement still, mostly when I play musis, and even if this child does have Down's, I think it's got musical talent. I saw Hairspray yesterday and I got so emotional because the baby kept dancing!
Besides that-I am trying to get rid of stuff so that we can make room for baby stuff. I am waiting to buy things until next week when we have the U/S.

Awww moving sucks! At least you got out before the college rush in 3 weeks.
You'll have to let me know which new neighborhood you're in , to do some kind of coffee or picnic etc.

This week has been an emotional one - I don't know if its particularly hormonal me, but DP and I seem to disagree with just about everything - I believe it stems from DS getting his molars in and the stress that causes.

My brothers birthday was a few days ago, and I forgot to call him. I'm making him a big tub of granola for his frugal gift - he loves it with a passion, and will be thrilled. Also new pictures of DS - he's smitten with him - claims he never wants children because they'll never measure up to our DS. :

I haven't been hungry at all lately, I dont know what it is - I have to remind myself to eat. I don't think I'm getting nearly enough protein, and I'm going to have to work on that. I think I may make myself an uber power protein shake every morning.

We've been eating TONS of fruit. Mostly peaches, strawberries, grapes, and we go through a bundle of bananas a day.

And not to mention - because of such molars - I got 5 hours of sleep last night, and am totally mindnumbed. My house is a mess from the weekend (monday is always Recovery Day) and I have no energy at all to pick up another piece of giant legos.

My internet has been out for days and it made me feel so lonely and I realized all my friends in "real life" are guys, and I am needing female companionship and it makes me feel so lonely.
I had a another midwife appt today and everything was great, I'm so comfortable with her, and feel so lucky about that.
I saw the move Sicko --- it was amazing. You gotta see it!
My husband got me a dvd called Tummy 2 Tummy about babywearing and it was so great, I learned so much. (and changed my mind about things I thought I wanted!)

That would be awesome! We moved from down by Tenney Park to "Downtown" Middleton, right by where University meets the beltline. It's more suburban (being actually in a suburb and all...) than anywhere I've ever lived but I am head over heels in love with the walkable neighborhood and having a gelato place and the Roman Candle Pizzaria 2 blocks away.

In fact, I think I'm about to order a pizza right now -- we drove DS up to my Aunt Mary's cabin to play in the swimming pool and between the heat and all the splashing we're all completely exhausted. We have NO food in the cupboard and I'm too wiped to get to the grocery store, so take-out it is. We had a TON of fun, though. It was the first time DS had ever been in a big pool rather than his little paddle pool and he thought it was the best. thing. ever.
