happy dance!

Thread Starter
two of our good friends were going back and forth with their decision to circumcise their ds and after several phone calls regarding it and some references i sent them...they made their decision and never told us what it was.

today we visited their new baby for the first time, and at his diaper change, WE SAW FORESKIN!!!

i am so happy!

he's our first "save". so far we're 1/1 - lost one, won one.

This is absolutely wonderful!

I don't want to be a wet blanket, but I hope all this celebration isn't premature. :

At diaper change, did they say they were keeping him intact? I'd hate to think the "surgery" (MGM) is scheduled for later in the week. Even worse, some parents go a couple/few months before they decide they can't stand it (so to speak) and take him to be mutilated. :

It's just the fact that they said they made their decision and didn't tell you what it was. I'm an optimist and HOPE it went like this: They realized circumcision is wrong, they're keeping him intact, you see his intact penis at diaper change and you both know you the right thing was done (to leave well enough alone and let HIM decide what happens to HIS body!!!), but neither mentions it.

I'm glad another intact being is in this world... it's sad that we have to celebrate it because genital integrity is a basic human right deserving to ALL, but in circumcising countries, this is AWESOME!!!!
