Is this a good idea or no?

I'm currently about 35 lbs overweight. I had just started to make some progress in losing weight when I got my BFP.

Sooo I was thinking, I could keep doing what I'm doing, and try to maintain my current weight for as long as I can, rather than go up or down during the pregnancy. In theory, if I maintain my weight, it means that *I* am losing weight at the same rate my *baby* is growing.

What I'm doing is nothing drastic - just daily exercise, and I eliminated caffeine/sugar from my diet. I'm a grazer, so instead of grazing on pretzels and potato chips, I graze on carrots and celery sticks, etc. I'm fairly certain I would have to step up the exercise to maintain my weight, though.

I was told that as long as you are eating enough, and dont start a more rigorous exercise program you will be fine. Its probably good for you. The only thing is - dont start exercising MORE than before. Youll be fine continuing the same exercise, just dont overexert yourself. Good Luck

What you are doing sounds great. Just make sure if you are hungry, you eat and eat good sources of protein as well as lots of fruits and veggies. It might be tempting to eat the same amount when you actually need to eat more.

Exercise is so important during pregnancy, and you are on a good program already!

Sounds good to me.
