New Tooth and Use of Drinking Glass

Hi!
My son's first tooth began to emerge yesterday (he's 6 mos.). I discovered it when I heard a "tinking" sound when he was drinking out of his glass. He bites down pretty hard and I am afraid that he might chip his new tooth! I have been helping him drink out of a glass for about a month and a half. Does anyone have any experience with new teeth and the drinking glass? Thanks!

It's been a long time, but I do remember that we used a shot glass for dd as an infant (it's what her teacher did in her infant montessori program).

i know what you are talking about with the clinking noise.
it is irritating! i wouldn't worry about him chipping his tooth though,
if he's teething he might rub the tooth on his glass or ever give it a little pressure but he probably doesn't like the feeling of biting glass and will quickly learn not to do this and choose something that feels better.
even though it's irritating,
the best thing you can do is just let it clink...with supervision of course,
and it will resolve it's self soon.
