Health Insurance: How Do I Pick?

I despise tricare. I've heard and seen way too many horror stories, especially regarding pediatrics, and specifically pediatric neurology. So I'm looking into private insurance to cover myself and the girls while DH is deployed. and I'm : The best plan from what I can tell is going to run me about $308/month to cover all of us, with prescription bennies and office/ER co-pays about equal to what we have now. That's with a $2,500 deductible. If we go with the same plan and a smaller deductible {$1,000} the price jumps $120 a month. I'm wondering if the difference in deductible would be worth the extra expense. HELP!

Well, since the $120 a month is pretty much the different in deductible )120*12 = $1440) , I'd go with the less expensive higher deductible one, because there is a chance you may not spend up to the deductible, but if you get the lower decuctible one, you are definitely going to spend that money paying the premium.
