Do you carry a diaper bag AND a purse?

If you have more than 1 little one whos still in diapers, do you carry TWO diaper bags or one really big one...

I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do diaper wise, since I'll have dd in diapers and this baby.

I currently have 2 in diapers. When this next one comes I'll have 3. : I carry a purse for me, and a medium-sized diaper bag for the other two. When the next baby comes, I'm upgrading to a big diaper bag for the three of them, and I'll still carry my purse. When I run out with just the baby, I usually just stuff a diaper & wipes in my purse and go with just that. If I had a sling with a pocket or something like that I could just put the baby's stuff in that.

Sometimes though, I just throw my keys and wallet into the diaper bag and go with that. It really depends on what I think I'll need. If I know I won't need the umbrella, camera, mp3 player etc. that's always in my purse, I won't take it.

I carry a big diaper bag (the Land's End one I keep raving about) and a little purse. My purse is just big enough for my wallet, a pocket calendar/notebook, lip balm, sunglasses, cell phone and keys. If I need to take my diaper bag into a store or something, I put the purse inside it. Otherwise, I just carry the purse and leave the bag in the car.

I only have one in diapers right now, but I've had 2 in diapers for a long time--nearly a year with ds1 and dd, and again nearly a year with dd and ds2. The LE bag is plenty big for diapers and everything necessary for a toddler and a newborn, plus when ds2 was tiny, I carried all the newborn stuff for him, toddler diapers for dd, and toys and a sippy cup for ds1! Plenty of room.

It is a big bag.....we have a stroller (not huge, but a step up from an umbrella) with a basket underneath, and the bag will fit in the basket, but it takes up all the room. The bag isn't ginormous (I don't feel like I'm carrying luggage, lol!) but it is big enough that I don't want to carry it in and out of stores, etc. It does come with a satellite bag inside, and if I think I'll need to change diapers while I'm inside somewhere, I'll just take the satellite bag and my purse with me instead of the whole thing.

I would NOT want to have 2 diaper bags to tote around and keep up with, but I did make each of the kids a tote bag--just a simple, lined drawstring bag with an exterior pocket--to carry on longer trips. I call them their library bags. They use them when we go to the library. But we also use them when we go to the grandparents--they are big enough to hold a small pillow and blanket, a few books and small toys, a sippy cup, etc. Very simple to make with a yard of fabric (1/2 yard main fabric and 1/2 yard contrast for the lining) and some cording.

My wallet is pretty big, its the kind that holds a checkbook too. There is a zipper on the outside with a little pocket where I put my keys. I just throw that in my diaper bag.

Oh yea, I had 2 in diapers for about a year, and will again when this baby comes. I just have a big bag. I also leave a few diapers in my car. We use prefolds, and they don't take up much room.

Right now, I carry a big purse and share with dd as a diaper bag. It took me about 9 months to figure this arrangement out. I used to carry my purse and her diaper bag and it drove me nuts!! When the new LO comes I think I'll transition to an even larger Diaper/Purse/Bag and we'll all share. I also like to keep extra supplies in the car.

Bags are a big weakness of mine and I love to switch them all the time. I get them secondhand and on ebay. I don't use only diaper bags but look for large-ish bags with lots of inside pockets.: For my "Happy second baby" gift to myself, I'd love to have a red one or (fake)animal print would be fun also.

When my dd was still in diapers, I threw everything into the diaper bag. I was way too unsure of myself to juggle more than that. This time, I may carry a small purse for me, and just shove it into the diaper bag if I feel over burdened.

Just carry a diaper bag, but then I don't carry much in a purse generally -- I actually just stick it all in my coat pockets when it's not summer. We have a designated 'adult' pocket in the diaper bag, where I stick my keys (which have my Driver's License and credit cards attached in a little holder thingie), occasionally my cellphone and have a thing of hand lotion and lip balm there permanently. If I need it for a reason I'll add my checkbook or anything else.

Honestly, I'm so brain-fried that I can really only reliably hang on to one bag, so this prevents the disaster of constantly leaving my purse places.
