The CNM we interviewed to do a homebirth with our third pregnancy said something similar- only she said expensive vs. pretty.

I just take whatever the CNM at the hospital wrote the prescription for. It's free and I can't pass up free when I'm this poor!

I take a pre/post-natal vitamin by nutri-west. They don't make me sick at all. I also take a pre/post-natal mineral, Fish Oil by Pharmax and Omega 3 co-factors(helps the body absorb and metabolize the fish oil). I also add a cal/mag/vit D capsule sometimes since I don't consume much dairy. Oh, and I always take an enzyme with HCL every time I eat. It really helps my digestion and eliminates any heartburn.

Of all of these, I personally feel like the fish oil is the most important for my body. When I forget to take it for a few days, I really notice the difference in my emotional stability!!:

I take the Rainbow Light ONE Prenatal. They're huge but they taste less vitamin-y than others I've tried and yakked up.

I also take 1t of Floradix and about 2500mg of CLO.

Now if only I could remember to take them everyday. :

I take Rainbow Lite ONE as well - I like that you only have to take one, although I didn't do well with it during first trimester since it made my m/s worse.

I'm also taking liquid acidophilus, liquid chlorophyll, and vit E capsules on the recommendation of my mw's, 1) to strengthen my bag of waters (since my water broke early w/DS), and 2) to try to prevent GBS colonization (since I was GBS+ w/DS as well).
