My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...

This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...

This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

To anyone looking for a carrier, BECO is the brand! I recently had purchased the Gemini, great carrier! It has everything you will ever need and want, its ergonomic, comfy, organic, made...

Well, he has Aspergers so...he may not be anything like your 5yo. LOL
He's pretty quiet, except when he is talking about cars or buildings. He likes music. He likes to fight (a bit obsessed with ninjas). He runs all the time. He only plays with cars, trains, and Legos.
When my other kids were 5, they whined a lot. They were grumpy pretty often, actually. They were demanding and not obedient. But, they were pretty loving and smoochy, too. They thought they knew everything.
I remember that I enjoyed being 5 when I was a kid, but mothering a 5yo is not my favorite thing to do. Six is better. LOL

When she's not grumpy, she is sweet and funny and loving. She loves her little sister and happily gives her toys and books that she's outgrown, and always draws pictures or makes little presents for her friends.

I guess everybody likes to talk about their kids...
My 5 year old is very curious and wants to know about how plants grow and babies are born and is God real and why things die and what is lightning and are there fairies in our garden and why is 'flour' and 'flower' the same word and are monsters the same as dinosaurs and when can she learn to drive...
She's eager to please, eager to go to school and learn to read and tie her shoes... She likes to do crafts and make things like costumes or hats or necklaces. She calls herself a "flower expert" and will tell you all about why the Lady's Slipper orchid is her favorite and the pink rose is her second favorite and then she'll ask you what your favorite flower is.
Some days she's so mature and I can see glimpses of the wonderful adult that she's growing up to be. She says she wants to be a ballerina or maybe a florist. And she loves to prance around the house.
And some days she's so sensitive to every word and every glance and she's jealous and competitive and moody and gets embarrassed easily. But most of the time, she's a very charming and sweet child with a real desire to learn about the world.
