Well, yesterday was a crazy day.
I spent $90 at the grocery...it was so hectic, I couldn't figure out what to make for dinner (we were having guests) and I had made two attempts to bake DS's birthday cake but had mishaps both times, so ended up buying two super expensive pies instead (because we were at Wild by Nature and I didn't have time/energy to make two stops to get something cheaper).
And the fish I ended up buying, all you frugal ladies don't want to know how much I spent on it. Gah...shocking.
All because of laziness and lack of forethought. I should have pulled something together from the fridge/freezer/pantry, but after making a trip to help a woman with bfing in person, I was short, short, short on time. And I think that I didn't feel super successful at that helping call, so was doing some retail therapy. I guess there's some progress, recognizing and articulating it for what it was. Still doesn't help my wallet tho.
On a positive note, I paid off two credit cards yesterday and moved them from my wallet to the drawer where they can't be used except in emergencies. That means I only have two credit cards with balances and one of them is the one I use for regular, every day expenditures (so I expect a balance and strive to pay it off in full every month, but haven't been paid for my freelance work the last couple of months, so have had to carry a balance). Yay for that!
