Is It Possible...?

Is it possible to ovulate and *not* have a temperature increase?

I don't have a chart for you to look at, sorry, but I'll do my best with descriptions. My BBT over the course of the month has fluctuated between 96.4 and 97.7, but with no real pattern. A possible explanation is that we sleep with a window AC on, and sometimes I wake up uncovered and quite chilly, and other times I wake up with blankets on. Would that affect my temperature readings that much?

I did have EWCM comparable to the other two times I got pregnant. I didn't notice any ovulation pain or signs of implantation, but I haven't really in the past, either.

I tested today and it was negative, but I'm not expecting AF for another two days or so.

Just wondering what your thoughts are.

I think its possable to O, and not catch it, if your charting is off like you were saying. I dont think its actually possable to O, and not TRULY get a temp rise, but with your window and blanket issues, maybe your chart just didnt catch it?
Good luck, and I hope AF stays FAR away!

It's also possible to have a malfunctioning thermometer that doesn't catch a temp change that occurs.

I did finally have a temperature shift, but not until about a week after I actually O'd and here I am pregnant. So, I suppose it would be possible to not have a shift at all or have a small enough one that the A/C affected your temp. taking.

Thanks for the fast responses!

Actually, the thermometer is something else I was thinking of.. every time I turn it on, it reads 97.7 as the last temp, regardless of what the last temp actually was. Hmm. But the low temps do seem to correspond with the mornings I wake up cold, and the highs with when I wake up covered, so.. who knows.

Mine does this too (97.70) but if I hold the button in when I turn it on it will show the last recorded temp before changing to the 97.70.
