anyone pp & want to dtd already?

with my other two, it was seriously months before i was interested. then again, i had stitches with them. with this one, i feel normal, with a normal sex drive (& no stitches). i wonder why my hormones are not like they were with my other two pp. i had written in another post that with my others, i had lost my "scent" and the ob said that i was like menopausal with the breastfeeding hormones. and my vagina was that of a 70 yo woman's (thin, pale colored and dry). yet, with this one, i stink, have serious bo for the first time in my life, my vagina's not dry or thinned out, and my sex drive is normal. maybe b/c i've nursed for almost 5 yrs straight, my hormones are evened out? anyway, it just surprised me that i actually wanted to dtd yesterday (mw said to wait for 4 weeks, so we are).

I always experienced the "menopause effect" when I was BFing in the past. I hope I have your luck this time around!! I don't want to lose my sex drive!

I always was interested in sex as soon as my pp bleeding subsided. The earliest I dtd was around 3 weeks. :

yeah but i'm thinking that i have a postpartum hormone thing happening here, and that in several weeks, i'm going to go 'menopausal'. or do you think i can stay this way? maybe my body's just use to nursing?

and nic~ i would've died hearing that with my other two, but with this one, i swear i could've done it the next day! not that i was overly horny, it's just that i didn't feel any different before or after the birth. my mw said to wait 4 wks if no tears and 6 wks if i had tears. now dh won't touch me earlier than 4 wks!

i just made my dh smell my armpits and i think he almost threw up. he started laughing so hard and told me that was the worse BO he's ever smelled!: I actually broke down and put antipersperant on (usually use an all-natural deoderant).

Speaking of sweaty, here's a novelty for me: My belly is now so big - and, more notably, my BOOBS are so big - that they TOUCH each other and get all sweaty/stinky in between. Yuck!

I get the under the boob sweat now.. never been an issue before. Maybe because I tend to go bra-less more often than not. The one that bothers me is my crotch sweats, that has NEVER happened before but it seems I'm always slightly damp in that area.

I so was thinking about dtd again within a day of giving birth! I seriously WAS NOT thinking this way with my other two, could have had something to do with being in an abusive relationship or the intervention filled births with stitches!
This time I was like wow I can't wait to dtd! We've been lovin each other up without dtd whenever we have a kid free moment. My bleeding finally completely stopped, it was just enough to be annoying for the past week! We are at 3 weeks tomorrow! I would totally jump my dh if it wasn't for the zillion kids ok just 4 plus the baby! Hopefully this weekend or perhaps we'll have to wait to have alone time when the twins go back! It's pretty hard to get in the right frame of mind when you either hear the kids or one of us is so bloody tired

For me there was a window. I def. was eager to reconnect after the incredible experience of bringing home this brand new person...wanting to connect to the "old person" who had made all of it possible. So from about 6-12 weeks, we got a lot of quality intimate time together. But then the incredible sleeping newborn phase ended and I was nothing but a nursing/baby comforting machine and sex became very hard to fathom never mind fitting in to a long needy night.

um, yes and we did! only 16 days pp but i feel great and stopped bleeding a couple of days ago, no tearing this time. i'm sure midwife wouldn't have given permission, but the subject didn't come up. we also had a couple of touching only times starting a week ago. last birth we waited until 6 weeks and i did have stitches.

We did already, too. I've felt totally fine after this birth--way better than with the other babies. We did it at just about 3 weeks pp, and again a week later. I feel totally normal during sex itself but my pelvis feels a bit wonky/loose after.

Oh and Me!! I am sooo ready and have been! Being a first timer, I didn't have a clue that I'd even want to, but no tearing, etc and I have been ready to go since a few days afterwards. But Dh is taking this 4 week timeframe from the mw way to seriously for me... We're almost at 3 weeks maybe we can work something out.

And here is a first timer question for ya'll...

DH is gone for work until Tuesday, but we'll definitely be DTD when he gets home! (I'll be 2 weeks PP.)

I've already stopped bleeding all together, and I think my stitches dissolved a couple of days ago. I'm not sore at all. And breastfeeding is obviously NOT causing low sex drive for me.

omg i don't think my crotch will ever be the same again... first of all it stinks so bad that i shock myself whenever i go to the bathroom . secondly i tore really badly (18 minute transition and pushing phase : ) that my scar tissue feels like a rock inside my vagina. will i ever be able to dtd again?

yes, you'll be able to dtd again, just wait awile to heal, then go really slow for awile. lots of foreplay, etc. it'll get better.

i guess the stink is pp hormones and will eventually even out? i can't stand myself either!!!! (then again, i'd rather stink and have a normal sex life- one can always shower- than have the vagina of a 70 yo woman with no sexual desire)

yesterday at 'princess dance camp', my dd said to everybody, as we were leaving, "my mommy's armpits smelled like onions, but then she took a shower and smells better now." Thank you, Jeanna.

I agree with your first statement And : I never thought a "princess" would say something like that!

I was surprised to find myself wanting to dtd so soon after this time. Last time it was weeks before I even thought about it. This time I feel pretty darn normal by now. And I don't think I'm gonna bleed as long (YAY!) "Cause it's not even been two weeks and bleeding seems to be going away. My MWs ok sex once you feel up to it, preferably after bleeding has stopped.

I would love to (no tearing this time! makes all the difference even though my tearing last time was minimal and didn't require stitches), but there's still a bit of brown spotting going on (3 weeks pp today).

Me too! I was so taken aback! I'm interested now, but kind of afraid to try (and exhausted). Not like we get a lot of options for timing.
