Ya, there was no point to that whole thing with the forced hetero-sex (plot-wise) other than a cheap "laugh."

I am having mixed feelings about this season thus far... next episode looks like it is going to annoy me. Nancy is now "owned" by this guy and has to do whatever errands he wants her to do and is forced into doing a table dance for entertainment of his clients? Were the writer's like, hey, "how can we force Nancy into scenerios she wouldn't naturally be involved in because of how we wrote her personality? ... I know, she'll be an indentured servant!" Why does she or Conrad even owe this guy? Thug logic? I think this plot-line is really stupid frankly, and am only watching at this point to see what happens when Silas meets Mary-Kate Olsen's character.

I am not loving this season so far, at all. I was a big fan the first two, but these plot lines are pretty ridiculous (and insulting, homophobic, racist . . . ). I hope they pull it together very soon, or they're going to lose me!!

Has the first 4 episodes of this season, the ones that were leaked over the summer. We don't have cable anymore so this has been giving my Weeds fix.

We don't have cable either, I watched the season premier on the Showtime website. I can't get this website to work? I've never used it before... any advice or other links? I need to get my Weeds fix on!

Guess I'll have to just wait for "Dexter" to return.

So sad, right? Did they fire all of the old writers? It just seems odd that a show that started off so well has lost its way this much.

Anyhoo, I can't wait for season 3!!!!

In the episode where she sets the code on the safe, we see her set it and then their is a cut, and the next scene shows Silas opening his locker. I feel like she used his locker combination, because she already knew it and assumed no one else (except silas) did.

They said in the episode that the combination was her wedding anniversary IIRC. She asked Silas how he knew the combo and he said duh you chose your anniversary.

I still like the show, but I wonder if they are going to address what happened to Sanjay...like he kills U-Turn.

That's right. It was Nancy's maiden name. She and Silas discussed it when he was at the police station in the first episode.

That's right, that is why I posted IIRC, I wasn't 100% sure but I knew it was something personal that he would know also.

Does anyone know if more then just the season premier can be found at the Showtime site? I don't have cable and would love to be able to see them with out having to wait for season 3 on DVD. Then again the season premier didn't really leave me wanting more like they normally do.

I have been a huge weeds fan since the start but i agree that it's lost its way. I am really shocked by the racism and homophobia of this season and even putting aside those faults, am just not finding it funny.

Spoiler Ahead:
I had just said to DP that I couldn't watch it anymore because it was too intense and seriously unfunny - and then U-Turn died - which I'm happy about so I'm gonna give it another couple of eps to redeem itself.

PS - I'm in Australia where season 2 has only just started on tv so I'm having to be creative about acquiring season 3 eps and am hence a few eps behind. Does it get any better after the U-Turn thing?

tonight's show was interesting. first one this season that i've liked as more than a vaguely pleasant diversion (when i remember) . i'll leave it at that.

I found the most recent episode ok, but I still didn't laugh out loud. The first season had me rolling on the floor, 2nd season a few laughs but season 3 just isn't doing it for me. I really don't like that they've basically turned Nancy into a horrible slutty mom.

Im actually enjoying season three more than season two (I thought the show went a little too goofy in season two). we dont have cable, we watch either at
