Nojo babywearing question

Hello...I'm a newbie here but I've lurked a little while ! I have a nojo sling that has been working pretty well but now my DD is 6 mos old and I would love to have a back carrier. I have *no* spare cash and was wondering if she is too young to do the back safety carry with the nojo?? THe hip carry works pretty well.

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't. I had the Nojo sling at one time, but returned it. It was too loose. I don't know how it fits on you, but I think that 6 weeks is too young for the back carry. They're so tiny and fragile at that age- I would wait until she's older.

Just noticed from your reply, lisabc311, you said the baby was 6 weeks. Mamabeth's baby is 6 months.

I also had trouble with my NoJo but that was way back when my first was a newborn. I am quite petite, at 5'1", and the NoJo was too big for my frame.

Mamabeth, check out the website for the Maya Wrap (www.mayawrap.com, not sure). It has a video with the various positions and, even though it's not a NoJo, it may help you decide what to do and how to make a position work for you. Also, check if there is a NoJo website with the same info.

Thanks. Actually, I don't think it will work either as I've tried it bc it really is too loose--my DD is petite anyway. Oh well! But the mayawrap site is very helpful.
So I am saving my pennies for an Ergo!
