Born 9/24/07 at 11:03 pm after 18 hours of labor and 2.5 hours of pushing.
8lbs. 7 oz. 20 3/4 inches long. My EDD was 9/18.

Hi,

It's taken a while to announce but our little boy is here.

Aidan Sebastian

Born: September 15
Time: 12:22 am
Weight: 8.78 lbs
Length: 21 inches
EDD: September 11

I was in active labor for over 24 hours including being put on Pitocin and then I pushed for 2 hours. I still have to write the birth story to process it since it ended up a hospital birth instead of the waterbirth at home we had planned.

I'm starting to recover now 2 weeks later!!

Stubborn placenta came out at hospital after crazy ordeal.

Home Water Birth after a short, enjoyable labor!
Lotus Birth...released his placenta 6 days after birth


So glad I didn't give in to the post-date fears. Went into labor completely natural and had a beautiful experience. This boy was perfect, small for 43 weeks and the placenta was as healthy and robust as could be. This kid would have been way to early at 40 weeks!

Also, he didn't loose any weight as a result of the lotus birth. At 2 weeks he weighed in at 8 lbs 12 oz!
