Well??

The reason I ask is because I have been washing windows and screens at this house and YIKES I could plant a garden in the dirt I am getting off the screens.

I wash them when they need it which is fairly often. It's not my favorite thing to do, but they're a lot easier to clean when there isn't loads of dirt on them so I shoot for once every couple of months.

Well I've lived here since October and I haven't done it once, except when DD1's window had bird doo on it. I barely have time to put dinner on the table these days; the windows will have to wait.

Before the twins, though, I used to wash windows about once a month, and I used to run a vacuum over screens if they seemed to need it, probably about as often.

I should probably do it more than I do, but I really hate the job! We are in the process of installing new windows though and that makes the job more tolerable as I can clean the inside and outside from in my house!

Screens maybe quarterly. Windows a bit more.

Hmmm, Just about never. The other day I noticed that there is still fake snow from Christmas on the insides of my son's windows. I still haven't washed it off though.

Screens? You're supposed to clean the screens? Half my windows don't even have screens lol. My windows are the originals (for the most part, a few have been replaced) that were put in when the house was built in 1929. Half of them don't open at all, the other half are a pain to open and close...

Yeah, another vote for just about never.

Ok so I am now realizing I'm an odd ball for washing windows screens

BUT if you do ever wash one and see all the dirt come off them you may understand why I do wash them.

They look so purty being all clean

I'm with you. The screens get so gross and look so nice after.

You should have seen me nest. I took all the windows and screens out and washed inside the windows frames.
