I Have Pork Broth

Thread Starter
I was making some ribs, and I now have pork broth sitting on the stove.

Thing is, I have never used or seen pork broth in anything.

I would hate to throw out a nice bone broth unnecessarily. Any recipes.

Well I don't have a specific recipe for you, but I know the vietnamese noodles I get at the restaurant (Pho) are often made with pork broth or a mixture of pork/chicken broth. They are really good so maybe that would do! I've made a similar soup at home with chicken broth before - pretty simple.

I don't have the recipe typed out though - I use the one from Hot SSour Salty Sweet or another from marthastewart.com called 'Morning Market Noodles with Jeffrey' . It has been a few years since I printed it out though. I think they are somewhat flexible so if you do a few searches you should get the gist!

They usually use rice noodles - which wouldn't be soaked of course - so if you wanted to be strickly TF you could always do something similar with soaked rice!

Just use it where you would use chicken broth for the "extra flavour and moisture" properties rather than the "chickeny taste" aspect---rice, beans, stir fries, tomato sauce, soup base and suchlike.

If you have the patience you can reduce it down to demiglace and freeze for use in fancy shmancy sauce. Me, I have no such thing.

I love pork broth and use it now in everything, in place of chicken broth (allergic). I used to use leftovers from slowcooking pork roast with bone in, but recently got pork neck bones just for making stock! It's wonderful. It gels so nicely.
