Just curious how long you were TTC this baby or if it was a surprise baby? Just out of pure curiosity.
Now updated with baby's gender since we noticed a big coincidence of TTC=boy Surprise=girl (so far?).

Surprise baby here but we were going to be TTC soon anyway. (at least *I* was, don't know about DH. LOL!)

Because I'd been charting for 6 months I knew my cycle very well. (NFP) and when we made the decision it was time.. it only took one try. I was planning on it taking a couple of months still, so the pregnancy confirmation totally BLEW me out of the water!

Neither. We were going to start trying in June, but made a spur of the moment decision not to use protection. We'd been saving money and making plans for a baby for over a year, so the baby was definitely NOT unplanned. I hate using the word accident when referring to a human being, whether or not the pregnancy was unintended.

You are right!! I never thought about it. Maybe we should change it to surprise! I think I will, thanks for pointing that out.

We were charting & actively TTC for 6 mos. I got my positive pregnancy test while we were in the Czech Republic on our honeymoon.

We tried with charting for 9 months. If we hadn't gotten pregnant when we did, we would have made an appointment with the Dr. the next month to see what was going on. I'm glad it didn't come to that.

I charted for 3 months before we started Artificial Insemination at home. I got pregnant on our first cycle.

We tried for 5 cycles before I went to ovulation predictor tests and that worked the first time. I have never tried for any of my kids and they were all conceived with one oops, so waiting 5 cycles seemed like punishment!

Maybe everyone could list the gender if you know it too and we could have a little experiment!

Ha!! Maybe that's the key... hmm... sounds like I'll need to get better at charting and "planning" if I ever want a boy.

We did what we've always done... not officially TTC, but not trying to avoid... we like to go with the flow, and so far it's worked for us.

We had talked about TTC in August (of this year!), though I'm not sure DH was convinced. We had a really rough winter, relationship-wise, so our "make-up" turned into an April Fool's on us! (Our 1x dtd was April 1 ) I guess it made dating the pregnancy easy!

We have another suprise baby, but very much wanted and talked about. Our main goal to wait until I was done with art school. But I found out after my big deal thesis oral that I was pregnant. It was super hard to have the energy and focus to finish school after that, but I made it!!
We were going to try for a baby this summer, I think if we waited for the pefect time this baby would never have been made. There is no perfect timing. But I truly feel that this baby was patiently waiting for me to be done with school. I have had bad baby fever for the past 3 years. Since we don't really use any birth control it is pretty amazing it worked out as well as it did. DD has been waiting a long time for a sibling. We couldn't be happier.

We were trying but I was nursing so I wasn't counting on anything. I had had AF back for 10 months but that was my first cycle without a luteal phase defect.
