belly question

So, for all of you who have a growing belly (mostly you 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. timers)--is it gooshy? Mine is! It's poking out a bit, maybe cute when I'm standing but when I sit there's a big 'ol roll! I don't remember this from my first. I know things are stretched out, my abs aren't as toned as they once were and I did have a little belly fat after having dd, but golly, this seems cruel. I'm actually on the smaller side--5'3", 115 (currently) but I'm suddenly feeling so gooshy. When will the baby catch up with this belly?????

I am getting stopped by strangers asking me how far along I am and then asking if twins run in my family I am on #5 though in 6 years so things just haven't been the same. Here are my pictures. Don't laugh. And I am trying to suck it in.

I'm NOT laughing! You look so cute--and, yes, further along that 6-7 weeks.

So the question...is it gooshy? How does it look when you're sitting?

I love being pregnant, I adore pregnant bellies and love showing mine off with tight shirts. The goosh factor, however, is making me think twice. When do I get the tight prego belly? Do I have to wait for like month 8 or 9? Do I even get it this time?

It was at first, but in the last two days or so it's gotten fairly hard right above my pubic bone, which I expected because my fundus has been slowly moving forward (althought it was missing for a few days lol)

Yes, baby will catch up! The bloating will go away soon.

Oh my gosh i can so relate right now. Just the other night my partner commented with surprise that i "have a belly!"
I look pregnant - but its pretty squishy - like i just got fat overnight
When im sitting i just look chubby - but standing, i look pregnant!

Mine is gooshy. It looks belly-like when standing, but I'm pretty sure it just looks like flab when I'm sitting.

This is #3 for me.

Ditto

Preg #3 (1 loss) for me, too, and some of the goosh has been around since the 2nd preg...

I think the gooshy factor is b/c the growing uterus is pushing all your organs and fat up so you aren't seeing the firm uterus, but rather everything it is moving out of its way right now. My opinion anyway!

I definitely notice a difference in my belly. This is #4 for me. I think the pp is right, it's the organs movin' on up making room for the growing babe.

That was the only thing I could figure too!

Oh, you don't know how happy I am to see this thread!!! I was crying about it yesterday when I tried to put on my fave jeans. I'm glad I'm not alone.

Ugh. I don't even have a little belly standing up- just gush! I feel like SUCH a smooshy, gushy, rolly blob. It would be a little more encouraging if I could convince myself of a little belly when standing up!

Yeah...it's not hard like it will be when it's your uterus up there. It's all those organs moving up to accomodate the baby.

Here's my 8 week pic:

Mines still gooshy from the last baby. Other than that there's not much change at this time. My pants still fit fine. This is #5, so I'm sure it'll change in a few weeks.

yeah my little mini belly is totally gooshy. It's just my intestines and fat poking out, and I can't wait until it's an actual baby poking out, lol.

I, too, am feeling a little bummed about the squishiness. because with DS, I was totally flat-stomached until suddenly my uterus popped out over my pubic bone and made a very distinct pregnant belly.

But someone on here told me it's not necessarily that I'm not in as good of shape as I was with DS1, but that my body knows what to do in response to a pregnancy and does so more quickly this time. So it's not necessarily that my abs are so weak that they're all pushing out...but they know what's expected of them and they're doing it. That's comforting at least.
