Elephant legs!

OMG my feet and ankles and legs are so swollen! I know people have probably posted about it before but I just wanted to say that I feel grotesque! Usually I can get it under control by drinking tons of water and elevation and such but not anymore. I know they're not *technically* abnormally large and my BP is fine so...well it's just feels gross and sore like the rest of me (I know I'm being a crybaby ). Anyone else want to commiserate?

I call mine Flintstone feet. They have just started to feel a little achy in addition to being fat.

I totally had the elephant legs last pregnancy. I was told a few months ago to eat tons (and I mean TONS) of Parsley, Celery, Cucumbers and watermelon.

Parsley, cucs, and parsley I try to eat once a day but watermelon is heavenly right now and I eat, literally, one watermelon every 3 days. They are getting bigger around here, now so sometimes it takes a bit longer, but I swear it works. I start getting 1-2+ pitting edema if I haven't eaten any watermelon in a day or two. I eat a watermelon and poof! its gone.

I do physical therapy and wear support hose (not all the time). They both very much help. I get a nightly foot massage from DH. I tried profl massage but the PT is so much better... The other thing that helped was going PT at work and sleeping in. I don't have much faith in elevation but resting definitely helps.

I have Flintstone Feet too. Swimming heps sometimes, but cool weather helps more.

The tops of my feet feel really bruised..I'm not having as much of an issue with swelling like I was, but still feel really sore from it.

This is ridiculous! In one week, I have gained 6 lbs!!! And I think it all went straight to my feet. : I guess its better there than straight to my butt. The feet will shrink after the baby is born; the butt may not.

I've been juicing cucumbers with apples, carrots, and pears for flavor. Also, lukewarm baths in the evenings.

Aaahhhhh!! I am having my husband bring another watermelon home today! I have an excuse! He's been a little afraid of how much watermelon I can put away.

I hate my fat sausage toes so ridiculously much more than I do my twice as big and purple "tatooed" (but strangely perkier?!) butt or any other change in my body. They get so fat sometimes that when I step with them they actually strain the skin and hurt a little! I want my ankles back! I guess it makes me so crazy because I never used to get water retention or anything, and also because I can't seem to figure out how to effectively elevate my feet without kind of lying on my back, which totally isn't working for me. I was thinking that a good ginger foot soak might get things stirred up, but I haven't tried yet. Anyone else tried that or something similar?

Autoemesiss is my hero!!

Thank you Autoemesiss for the food advice. I made a cucumber salad with parsley, celery, yogurt, red onion, and dill weed and have been eating watermelon like its nobody's business since your posting. The past two days, I have lost a pound a day! And it seriously looks like it is all draining from my feet. They are still swollen, but worlds better.

I have been drinking juice of cucumber, apple, carrot, and pear mixed. I used one large cucumber, 2 apples, 1 pear, and half a lb of carrot. With dinner I had a salad of cucumber and tomato. I also had the juice of 2 lemons mixed in my water.

I have been doing that daily all week. The first day I lost 4 lbs of water. After that, I have just maintained. I haven't gotten swollen.

4 LBS!
