My birth at Special Beginnings was the most positive experience of my life. I had some complications- water breaking 3 days before ctx with light meconium, but it was treated with...
My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
I'm trying to "de-chemicalize" as much as possible. Trying to use vinegar to clean...and have been pleasently surprised! Now, as far as I can see, dish soap is not so bad. Am I wrong? What do you all use? :
Mainstream-brand dish soaps are made from petroleum derivatives and contain some pretty nasty chemicals.
I've tried a bunch of enviro brands, made from plants, and the only one that didn't clean well enough to satisfy me was Nature Clean. All these brands are great, just as effective as and smell better than most mainstream ones:
Earth Friendly Products Dishmate
Seventh Generation
Bio-Kleen
Sun & Earth
Citra-Dish
Trader Joe's
I have used Ecover Dishwashing Liquid for as long as I can remember, and I love it!
In the dishwasher, I usually use Seventh Generation if I can find it on sale, or Ecover powder. I prefer the Seventh Generation only because I like the pouring spout better than the Ecover, but I think they both clean equally well.
Does anyone make their own dish soap? I'd be interested in recipes. I have fels naptha, washing soda, and borax for making my own laundry detergent - surely some combination would render a nice dish detergent.
