So i had DD2 on July 23rd.....today is the 28th and i am bairly bleeding anymore, i realy only blead heavly for 2 days or so and after that it quickly faided away to bairly spotting and now its almost nothing at all.....serously i've had periods that were longer and heavier than my post birth bleeding!

i can still feel where my uterus is still enlarged and still needs to shirnk some more, and if i inflick pain and massage my tummy/uterus on the potty i get clumps of bloody tissue and some spotting....

so is this normal or should i be calling my OB and telling her what's going on?

I had a c-section if that makes a difference

That was normal for me after my csection. After my vag birth with my first kid, I had clots off and on for the first 5 days and then when my first PP AF arrived (7 weeks later) I had even more clots.

I was told to call if I had anything large, but I never did.

So basically, the bleeding has almost stopped but not quite? It's most likely within the range of normal, but call your OB if you're concerned.

If you're worried about it, can't hurt to call the OB to see what she says. Most likely it's nothing, but I think it's better to have peace of mind if it's something that's worrying you.

In my experience, that sounds fine. However, you know your body best, and if you feel like something is off, or wrong, please see your OB. Congratulations, BTW!

i had a vaginal birth the 3rd. i bled a little until he was 8 days old then completely stopped a week and a half and have spotted, or bled a little twice a day sinnce. it may very well restart, or you may spot some more. maybe go walk around some? i know youre not supposed to a lot but you said if you do a lot smore comes out? if you think more needs to come out, then massage and all. my mom and friend were told to massage a lot to make sure everything came out after having c sections, those two i was there for their births....hth!!

i have never heard of too little bleeding being problematic. i have however read that bleeding can be stop and go for the first several weeks...if you sense something is wrong, maybe that's what you've got. not that i've read the stop/start is problematic, it just may be different than what you were expecting. i echo the others who said call your ob if you have any doubts.

thanks everyone you have made me feel better!

i did go for a short walk last night (across the street to thank the neibhors and show them the baby) and we ended up standing outside talking while our older kids played together for about 30 mins (i leaned against a wall w/baby) and the bleeding has picked up a little bit......so i am gonna try and be a bit more active to encourage all the yuckies to come out!

I barely bled after my births either. I have also had heavier periods.
