I have to pack dh lunch and breakfast everyday. Any tips. I try not to use ziplock but have been back to using lately. When I do I try to get him to bring it home so we can wash it out and reuse but sometimes he forgets.

how about containers instead of bags? a little bulkier but easier to wash and reuse.

I second using containers. I also make dh lunch everyday and use to use baggies.

I use unbleached wax paper bags and masonary jars in my DHs lunch. Sometimes use containers I bought from Ikea that are ok plastic

What about a Laptop Lunch system? We just got one for DD, but adults can use them too!

I pack DF's lunch in containers. Sometimes he'll ask his friends that he eats lunch with for their empty ziplock bags and bring them home for me to rinse out and re-use.

He packs them some and I pack them some. Depends on playing with the kids.

I like the wrap and mat and maybe i'll look at the laptop lunches. they are having a co-op on those now. I use Masonary jars a lot also.

The Laptop Lunchboxes are neat, but you can find comparable things at places like Target and Wal-Mart, too. We've used those reuseable Glad containers for a long time, because the small ones are a great size. Keep them cool with mini coolpacks and/or pack them inside a large, lead-free insulated lunchbox. Or you can track down true bento boxes at Asian grocery stores.

I just spray with vinegar/water and wipe off with a sponge or wash rag. Very easy

well put vbactivist,I was just about to write something similar but I thought that I would finish the thread first.I always pack dh's lunch,I like to make his life a little easier considering he is off to work at 5am,you know,seeing as we are a team and all.

back to topic,
I use a tupperware thing for dh,it has 4 compartments and it's big enough to make him remember to bring it home.just keep reminding him,eventually it will sink in BTDT

We like the WrapNMats for sandwiches. For cold things we'll use plastic containers like gladware. I don't really like heating in the plastic so I use the pyrex containers with the plastic lids for things that will go in the microwave. Those might not be the best choice if he forgets to bring things home though. The gladware is cheap enough that if a few pieces get lost it's not the end of the world.

I was thinking something big like the tupperware container you are talking about would help him remember to bring it home. I was also wondering if there was biodegradable wrap he could throw away. Just trying to work harder at living a green lifestyle.
