Is a silicone kitchen untensil that you scrape stuff out of a bowl with dangerous? I can't think of the name of this tool but it is what u would use to scrape out the remaining batter off the sides of a bowl.

Silicon Kitchen Tool ?

I've heard it variously called (and I've called it, myself) a rubber scraper or a spatula.
On the More Hip Than Hippie podcast about safe kitchen utensils, I heard that natural-colored, high-quality silicone is ok. The silicone itself is likely to be quite safe. Any colorings added might be a problem. They specifically said that Silpat is quite safe.
I have some inexpensive silicone that I should probably replace, myself.

spatula, spoonula, scraper. They have many names
as for the health part.... no idea...I would assume the cheap $1 store ones arn't good for you, but the higher quality heat resistant ones might be.
