Well, I want the baby to stay in until the BP issue is resolved, so I don't have to go to the hospital.

today's my edd, and no 'real' contractions thus far, just have had low menstrual type cramps.. I feel like he'll be here in a few days though.

I am soooooo bored. I haven't worked in forever, I'm kind of envious of those of you who still are working (although I know I'd probably be whining if I were). Family is calling like crazy to see if anythings happening yet. MW might do an exam on Monday to see if there's anything progressing. it;ll be my first exam, and I know that they up the risk of infection, but I am curious..so I'll go ahead with it.
Everything else is done though, food is prepped and frozen, diapers prewashed and ready, clothes the same..house is cleaned.

Just trying to sleep alot and hope that once I'm rested my body will be more 'ready' to go into labor! and I'm more at peace with knowing that he'll be here when he's ready, I'm trying not to rush him out of his peace and quiet for these last few days. If I were to go over by a week I might start to do acupuncture though...

I am VERY happy that I haven't worked this entire pregnancy.

------------

My parents' friend who is selling them the extra car is taking too long. My parents are getting annoyed. He is a very laid back guy with almost no responsibilities in life, so he isn't understanding about their sense of urgency.

So, my parents told me that on Monday, when DH is on his way home from work, he should go to THEIR house and pick up my mother's car and drive it home. They want me to have something in case of emergency, and something to install the carseat into. They are willing to make due sharing one car in the mean time.

Yeah, I guess I was sugar coating the idea of going out and feeling like I have *something to do*. I have a hard enough time lately cooking a meal and cleaning up afterwards, or doing much of anything for that matter.

38 weeks today! Well the constant painless tightening BH I've been having for the past week or two have progressed to crampy BH. I hope I don't have them constantly for the next two weeks.

Went for a walk last night after dinner and had lots of crampy/achey feelings in my lower back and stomach. Plus lots of real low pressure from the baby's head. They continued all evening until I went to sleep at 11pm -I was afraid they might keep me awake, but I was exhausted from sleeping very little the past few days so they didn't (I was feeling a bit nervous that this would end up being labor, I SO do not want to go into labor exhausted!). I woke up several times during the night to pee or roll over and they were still there until about 6am when it more of the painless tightening sort again. Went back to sleep and woke up at 8am (i really needed this sleep!) and still having just the tightenings. though my lower back is a bit achey...

Well I hope all these contractions are DOING something. It sure would be nice to already be 3 or 4 cms dilated when I go into labor.

40 weeks today! doesn't this child know she's more than welcome to come out now??

i am LOVING that my friend Tina brought me over a birthing ball last week. It helps SO much with my achey pelvic bones.

I was convinced she was gonna come early.. and now i'm just hoping she comes "on time"..

I have been having the crampy contractions a lot too, mostly at night. And now I have a cold. Sucks!! I do not want to have a cold while in labor!

I am starting to feel like I am pretty close to this birth. Now I want him to stay in a little longer, till we get this BP thing worked out. I think we are on to something with the potassium. All the diuretic foods I have been eating are a possible cause of potassium deficiency, I learned this morning. I have a bit of improvement from taking the Kali Carbonicum since Saturday. Hopefully dropping the diuretic foods can improve it further.
