What are you all doing these days?

I'm just waiting, waiting, waiting. I have read like 10 books this month alone and watched close to that many movies. My house is spotless. Fridge and freezer are stocked. Laundry is clean. Sheesh! The downside of not having a younger child and not having to work right now is that I am getting bored.

And just waiting, waiting, waiting.

I'm too tired to do much and I get weird spasms around my pelvis so I'm just hanging around the house. Yoga, meditation, and books are all wonderful and fulfilling. But there are soooo many empty hours to fill.

What are you all doing? I want to enjoy these last days with my baby in my belly, breathing his breath for him, but I am also soooo impatient!

No kidding!!!

I'm feeling very content now that I finally just cleaned off my desk. My kitchen's a disaster, living room not much better, and I haven't watched a whole movie in weeks! The only book I'm reading is Grantly Dick-Read's book on childbirth and fear. It's interesting. But I don't get that many opportunities to read it.

But, I know where you're coming from. When I was pregnant with DS I went through the total boredom of waiting. Now, with a toddler around, I'm really looking forward to some quiet time... but I don't think I'll get it.

I wish we could all get together at a nice swimming hole somewhere. We should be in the Red Sea birthing camp (anyone see the movie 'Birth into Being'- its super great.)

I have been napping here and there. It's amazing how refreshing a 30 min cat nap can be. I tell myself I must remember this for when the baby is here- even a short nap can be helpful.

cleaning.. i feel like that is all i am doing... oh and chasing my son around!!

I am the laziest person on the planet. Although I had a long list of things I needed to do and last week I got them all done. I feel like this baby is going to be a bit early, so wanted to make sure I got everything out of the way. Now I can just wait. And if I get bored, I'll wash my floors... or maybe I'll just go lay in my lounge chair in my backyard....

Doing as little humanly as possible.

DS never even knew about TV until I was PG and today has watched at least an hour already. When he naps, I nap. The floor is covered in toys. Dinner is prepped, but only because I did it yesterday in a rare burst of energy. Laundry is piling up. Mail and bills are stacking up. Kitchen is nasty.

Where is that nesting energy and why won't it let me complete anything (I seem to be a pro at starting new projects.)

Yeah, me too, where is my nesting energy? My floors have been swept, but not mopped in 2 months - gross! I'm keeping up on clutter, but not on actual cleaning. DD is watching way too many videos and I have no desire to cook dinner, or any other meal for that matter. I wish we could afford to eat out every meal, and that there were actually good places to eat here. I wish I had a maid.

Nothing. When I do get out of the house, it's to go to the pool. Other than that, I've been laying in bed just waiting around. I'm so lazy and tired and achy and walking takes so much out of me, it's just easier to lay.

Ditto this!! And not mopping in months with 4 kids is SCARY!! I wish I could just have someone come make me salads all day long, and clean.I would be a happy, happy mama.

Well now that August is here I will be slowing down for a few weeks.

So this week I have one in summer school that I have to take back and forth each day. Dh is working graveyards so it is on me for the next seven nights.

I have another who is leaving for two weeks to San Diego but I have her ready to go.

Three are going to the dentist on Thursday and that is a seventy mile drive each way. Friday I have an OB check and again seventy miles each way and have to find a sitter or they can stay with their oldest sister when we get there. Saturday agian seventy miles each way to the hospital for the sibling class they offer.

Then if I pass my OB check we will be doing another two weeks of swimming lessons M-F.

We are going to see one son's play tomorrow and we will get to the pool a few times this week and hopefully to the movies and roller skating.

I will cook three meals a day for my family and hope for help with the dishes. I will shop a few more times this week for groceries.

At least three loads of laundry washed and out to dry every day. Have to do the kid's bedsheets and mine almost every other day because I get so hot and sweaty at night.

Then there is the daily vacuuming and other cleaning to be done.

Dd still wants to nurse three to four times a day. She sleeps with me but doesn't wake me up too often. The real problem is waking up to pee every thirty minutes and in between with leg cramps.

And I will feel guilty that I am still not in the mood to cut out and sew the fabirc I bought almost three months ago to make new nursing tops. I just don't care about sewing anymore and waiting for the mood to strike.

I am feeling cranky because at this point it takes me a lot of willpower to get up and get things done each day. I have stockpiled the house so that hopefully there won't be much shopping that has to be done in the next few months. All the baby things are ready to go except I have to find some things that dd took to play dolls with and hasn't given back.

Yeah, that is a slow week for me.
In my free time I will be here posting.

Trying to keep busy to keep my mind off waiting and obsessing about when the baby will come. : While at the same time trying to not do so much that I wear myself out. (I have no idea how you do it, momuveight2B).

So I have been gardening, sewing mei tei's and hopefully some diapers, constantly preparing food for my always hungry 20 month old, trying to keep the house clean, reading LOTS (I'm a huge nerd..I have a library card to every library within an hour's drive, and frequent them all regularly ), napping with DS/reading while he naps.

I've tried to get some stuff in the freezer, but geez it is hard to get much cooking done with an energetic toddler who wants to "help" with everything. He especially loves cooking. It really wears me out to let him "help" while at the same time trying to make sure he doesn't seriously injure himself or completely ruin what we are trying to cook. : Zaps my energy, but he gets so much out of it.

I've been on Mothering a lot lately

I've also been reading, and just so tired the last few days. Not like me with this pregnancy. I was feeling very energetic up to the 39th week.

I took a long walk today, trying to move things along. I've also been spending a lot of time with my ds, just being time and playing with him. I'm going to miss just the two of us However, I know it's going to be wonderful with her as well

I'm trying to rest as much as possible. I don't want to start off in labor tired.

I am still taking care of cooking, dishes, and basic house cleaning.

I am reading, interneting, and watching TV and movies a lot.

All the pending things are out of my hands:

* the car my parents are buying (that they don't need and will park near my house in case of emergencies) is taking longer than expected. They keep saying "early next week." I want to install the car seat and get it inspected. I told my mother, if they aren't going to be able to get that car in time, why don't we just install the car seat in her car for now. She will be at the birth and around a lot after, so if there is a need to take the baby somewhere her car is fine.

* my father is still working on weaving the seat of my rocking chair (he could have had it fixed in a few days, but no, he had to buy the materials and a book and learn to do it himself). He stopped for a long time -- i think because he was insecure about his ability to do the next step correctly. My mother insisted yesterday that he has to have it finished before i go into labor, and he started working on it again.

So, no rocking chair and no car seat installed. Other than that, everything is done. All I have to worry about is day-to-day maintenance.
