37 and a half weeks now. I just never thought that turning over in bed would become such an ordeal! It used to be just a matter of flipping over when my hip got too numb from sleeping on my left side all the time. Now if I were to try just flipping like that I feel like I'd end up straining or breaking something and groaning in agony. So now it's a whole long process to turn over. First, from the left-lying position I have to kind of push myself upright, then slowly rotate to sitting up cross-legged and let my bones and the baby settle for a minute or two. Then I have to sloooooooowly gyrate around to rest my weight on the left hip, and sloooooooowly lower myself onto the mass of pillows. If I move too fast my pelvic bones hurt. Then the baby usually wakes up and starts wiggling and jostling me down in the belly to adjust HER position, so it's a good 20 minutes at least before I can really fall back asleep. It's one of those things that doesn't occur to you to think about before you get pregnant!

If we thought before we got pregnant we might not be here now

I'm glad I'm not alone. I've been trying to remember how I felt during the last weeks of my other pregnancies and I honestly can't remember. The worst right now is I am very irritable with the children, too tired to get up and do anything about the way they are acting. I spend all day saying wait till your father gets home. And you should see the house----my four year old alone should get an award for the messes she makes and never, ever helps to clean up.

I don't post on this board much so let me introduce myself. Hi, I'm Amber. I have a 3 year old daughter named Sophia. My EDD is August 28th. And I so needed to hear all of these complaints today! Man! I have 4 weeks to go and I'm feeling very done with the physical life of being pregnant.

Last night I rolled over too fast and must of knocked a vertibrae out of place in my low back. The pain was so bad. Sitting on the toilet to pee did help my back quite a bit though.

My hands and feet (and face) all seem so puffy now. I've begun to worry that I'm leaking amniotic fluid - previous posts have put my mind at ease. Thank you mamas for being soooo honest. I'm grumpy, depressed, exhausted, and not looking forward to the next 4 weeks. So happy to know I'm not alone. I'll probably make it. I remember last time I was so tired I couldn't wait to have to baby so I could sleep again. I know better now. Hang in there mamas!

Well, now I am peeing blood! Well, not that extreme. From the catheter, some of the times when I pee it hurts and a little bit of very red blood comes out. It appears to originate pretty much near the opening. I hope it heals fast. I have had similar degrees of discomfort in that area before from rough sex, but never saw blood.

Also, due to the vaginal exam, my mucus oozes are now pink/brown tinged.

I can't clearly make out the sensations in that area due to the irritation/stimulation from the catheterization. So, I can't feel well when something is oozing or leaking. So, I am sitting on a chux pad. So far, I have gotten a few drips on it. This is the first leaking I have had all pregnancy.

I grossed out DH telling him that the insertion of the catheter was nowhere near as bad as it looked like it was going to be. That tube looks HUGE.

That is all I can manage for TMI info at this time. I really feel like I should be able to say more. I really have been lucky with this pregnancy up until now.

why do you have a catheter?!
I only did for a few secs.

The urine test showed a little protein. That, on top of high BP, freaked the MW out. Before we went any further, she said it was possible the sample was contaminated due to vaginal flora. She used a catheter to get a clean sample. There IS trace protein.

Yikes! You have my deepest sympathy right now . . . I can't imagine being catheterized!

Me either!! LL~What is your blood pressure? I hope you can find a way to relax, just knowing all that stuff is going on and having to worry about it would cause my BP to rise.

mamamoo, it depends dramatically on my position. If i lay on my side, i get 125/75. If I sit up and lean sideways so my belly is not pressing back into me, I get 125/85. If I sit up and lean back like i am now to type, I get 145/100.

the good news is that my friend who had a catheter during her birth said that the pain from recovering from the catheter was worse than the labor pain! it is common to have irritation from catheters.

At least it sounds like it is controllable with position. The first two numbers aren't bad. So don't lean back!!!

I bet you will be ok. Just take it easy, and keep doing the juicing and stuff.
