Need advice quickly!!

I tried a recipe for the buttermilk yeast bread (in the NT book) and started it yesterday and left it for 24 hours like it said. But I used store bought buttermilk, not homemade....it's pasteurized and all that stuff. Is that okay? I am worried that it might make us sick since it's been sitting out and it's not raw. I need to go do the rest of the stuff to it now because it's been 24 hours so I need help quick! Thanks. :

Well you're going to bake the dough, right? So any bad bacteria will get killed in the oven. I don't see why you couldn't use it

Yes. Well that was what I was hoping but wasn't sure. I'll go ahead and bake it and then if someone replies and says DONT EAT IT YOU WILL DIE then I won't.
