Organic satin sheets?

Is there such a thing as organic satin sheets? And if there are, do you have recommendations on where to find them?

Thanks!

You might have an easier time searching for organic sateen (usually made with cotton) rather than satin (usually synthetic). Googling "organic sateen" pulls up a lot of hits, but I have no personal experience. Good luck!

Yeah, that. I've seen satin made from silk. I don't know anyone makes organic silk but I can't imagine how much silk sheets would cost!

Cotton sateen is a very smooth weave with kind of a shine to it. They're very nice and soft.

I saw these in a catalog I get sometimes of natural & organic home items. Sometimes their banner pops up on the mothering home page. I don't remember the name, but after seeing the banner, I know how I came to get the catalog!

Wouldn't silk be hard to make non-organically, since the silkworms are so sensitive to pesticides, etc?

ETA : I found this site on silk: http://organicclothing.blogs.com/my_...ganic_sil.html

Thanks for the leads. I don't know if sateen is what we're after -- it's the "slither" effect I'm looking for. I'm still trying to figure out what the most low-impact solution is, if "slippery sheets" are the goal ...

Be careful what you wish for, people have been known to fall out of bed on those slippery sheets!

Sateen will not give you that effect, neither will the silk. You might need that polyester satin.

Since I've never been able to find anything both "slithery" and "organic," I suspect that you are right! :

I know that www.gaiam.com had organic cotton SATEEN sheets at some point if that helps. Good luck with your search!
