I have figured out how to make reusable produce bags- for free.

When you get a mesh bag of oranges, apples, onions, whatever, carefully snip off one end. To close, use a square plastic bread tab. Keep with your reusable shopping bags.

Make sure you snip the less secure end. My onion bags don't seem to have a secure end - have had onion waterfalls many times!
