To Dilute or Not to Dilute Dr. Bronner's

I got my first glorious giant bottle of Dr. Bronner's Almond scented soap. Now what? The bottle says to dilute, however a friend of mine has always used it straight to: wash hands and do dishes. What do you do?

: I need to know this, too.

I dilute and mix with coconut oil and I find the dr bronners to be kind of drying. I have it in those foam-maker bottles for handwashing.

Oh, dilute. For sure. Easier on the skin and the wallet.

For hand washing I dilute. Otherwise is clogs up the dispenser. Foaming dispensers work really well.

Can you dilute with water?

IME it works just as well diluted and a little goes a long way

Does anyone know if I can get the little foam bottles at Target or a store like that? I've seen the links to buy online, but I'd rather pick it up locally rather than ship one single little bottle. Thanks!

I've been wondering about the whole diluting thing as well. When you dilute it, what are the ratios that you usually use? I am planning on using it mostly for hand soap and in a spray bottle for cleaning my counters, etc.

I'll have to keep my eye open for those foaming bottles as well!

I've never seen those bottles empty, but maybe some kind of a craft or soapmaking store would have them, or maybe a natural foods store. I've mostly seen them full of soap, sometimes icky, nasty soap, and sometimes not-so-bad soap. For instance, there's some Kiss My Face soap that comes in those foamers that my natural foods store sells.

Yes, but it works best to use distilled water if you have hard water.

I usually use about 3 T Dr. B's per 16 oz of water.
