thanks rain~i looked at the site sarahjen posted and well, i have these skinny kermit-the-frog wrists and those bracelets are all so huge! i love the necklace you posted on your blog though...i'd love to buy something from you.

and thanks mandy~i used the opk for two months a while ago. now that my cycle seems to be shifting with the acup. maybe it is a good idea to use them again. i think i will and also, it seems to be time to bring in the pre-seed for a whirl. glad to hear you are doing sparkly!

Poet!! I was so pulling for you!

I got mine from http://juliabristowjewelry.com/Healing.html there - it's a lovely, huge bracelet with loads of stones on it.....

Oh Poet, I was hoping this was it for you too.

Rain, the necklace on your blog is just gorgeous! I've never been too fond of my birthstone, but your necklace makes it look very beautiful. : And lovely photography, btw.

Rain I totally felt this way at first too so I mostly just lurked and admit I felt a bit lost being in the first tri when everyone was in their third. I think there are quite a few first tri lurkers around there and I wish they would post more, I'm 17 weeks now and I still feel like I'm miles behind everyone else and few of the new grads are posting yet. So come on you lurker grads, I know I had loads I wanted to talk about in the first tri!

Poet I admit I was stalking your chart too and I'm sorry af arrived. :

to everyone, still wishing and hoping for you all...

Rain, SarahJen, and Mandy -- I post and i'm in my first tri! I started slow too, but you can always have more than one conversation in a thread so don't feel shy about posting!! You can't leave me there alone when the 3rd tri's graduate!

I miss you guys too, I lurk all the time silently cheering you on and hoping for more and 's

Enough lurking, time to post

Congratulations, Rain, and thanks for your encouragement. I'm working to stay fit and positive, and surround myself with supportive women, which is why I'm back here!

I've been lurking these past few days with my fingers crossed for Poet. I'm so sorry about AF, but glad at least that your cycle is lengthening since that is what you have been going for.

I seem to be about 2 weeks out of synch with the rest of you girls. I've been peeing on OPKs compulsively for the past 3 days. Things look good, so I have my fingers crossed for a positive test in a couple of weeks. Actually, I'm trying to stay in that balanced place between "wouldn't that be nice" and "don't expect a BFP, it's only the 2nd month of TTC - plenty of time left!". Too bad I don't do balanced very well!

Welcome, PatioGardener!

I'm around CD 5 or something, so I'm not too far behind you. We're not ttc right this second, but I wanted to pipe up in sisterhood. Or something.

Thanks, frog! All my friends my age have kids already, so I've felt a bit lonely this summer. My cycle was erratic in the spring, but things seem to have settled down now, of course bringing with it the ups and downs that go with TTC. Not that there have been many ups or downs, since it has only been 2 cycles now! But the thought has been there for much longer, so maybe that is why this feels so important right now.
Ok, back to work on that 'balance' - which right now means less obsessing and more cleaning! (Houseguests arrive on Friday - thankfully nicely timed!)

I'll hang out with you. All of our friends have kids, too, as do all of our sibs and cousins. Honestly, it gets me down. :

Poet - sorry about that b!tch AF! But I'm glad your LP is looking hot! We've talked before on this thread about how AF can be somewhat freeing - a new start. So here's to this month for you!

Frog - any news?

Nice to hear from the grads! Any belly shots for us to drool over?? Or hideous stories about hemorrhoids or something?

Here's a glamorous story about my morning yesterday: It was my first day going back to work after 2 weeks of holidays and the night before I had a horrible nose bleed. I had to get up early and I felt so sick again (I thought the m/s was over), I managed to eat breakfast anyway but when I went to brush my teeth my nose started bleeding again and then I threw up and threw up so hard that I PEED MY PANTS. I basically had to start the whole morning over again shower and all. : I'm so not complaining because when I signed up for this I said I'd take whatever it brought but I honestly didn't know whether to laugh or to cry.

laughup : : : : laughup

SarahJen - that was THE funniest thing I have read in such a long time - i was laughing OUT LOUD and could hardly catch my breath! Thanks for sharing that moment - for what it's worth, you've cheered me greatly with your sense of humor!!

OMG Sarah! That kinda freaks me out! Morning sickness, nose bleeding, throwing up, peeing your pants... a virtual (or I guess, literal) cornucopia of bodily functions - all unpleasant!

It's a good thing you posted that so I can be ready for some crazy sh!t!

You're a trooper! Good for you! It's a journey, right...?

You know, it actually helps me to hear this.

Can I play too?

Hi all,

I posted to a couple of other threads, but this seems to be the most active and supportive and I would love to join in. I'm 32 and in the TWW of our 2nd try. DP is 33. I don't have pretty charts to share; I find that process a little overwhelming, but I'll start next cycle if this one doesn't take. Right now I'm 2DPO and my only goal this cycle is to not test until I actually miss.

Congrats to all those with BFPs this month!

I can't remember now who mentioned low thyroid, but it is something I have dealt with for years. I always joke that I have to take my pill to keep me from getting fat, tired, and stupid because that's really what happens when it's off. I last had it tested when we went to the ob/gyn for our "family planning" visit (we needed her to sign the damn paper so we could buy from the sperm bank) and it was way off. Went to the pcp, he upped my dose and retested and it came back fine, so he switched me back to the lower dose and I'm supposed to retest again this week. Crazy! Anyway, lower temps without other symptoms (a few of mine are pretty extreme lethargy, forgetfulness, muscle cramps, and the best one, a goiter) probably don't indicate thyroid issues. But the test is super easy, so ask for one if you're not sure (and don't let your doctor bully you about asking For the record, I think the first test was off and my evels are actually fine. I usually feel like poopy when the level is as off as the first test said, and I feel fine at the moment.

Sarah, that's awful. But, . Yeah, you are a trooper.

So true.

Well, nothing so exciting here. I just have no appetite. It changes every day. Yesterday my lunch was two Clif bars and some Pirate's Booty. That worked well, but when I tried to do the same for dinner, I couldn't get it down. My nose is extra sensitive and every little odor offends it.

This weekend I'm supposed to go to my MIL's for a party, and I have to bring a dish. I don't know how that's going to work. Then the next day we're supposed to go to bruch - a buffet - for my GMIL's birthday. Just the word buffet is making me queasy.

Welcome, mhiccup. When turtle and I are ttc, we use the bank, too.

I've been very lucky, no morning sickness at all. I've had a few moments of queasyness, but they would pass if I ate something. No major food adversions, things just are mostly bland to me.

The thing that has been the hardest on me is that I am sooo damn tired all the time. I work, come home, nap, get up and eat, lay on the couch, then go back to bed. The house is a wreck, I don't have the energy to do anything at all. And, yes, i'm at 12 weeks and i'm already getting hemorrhoids! My OB said you can get them this early if you are predisposed to them. I guess since I have a few vericose veins on my legs, i'm predisposed to them. Hmm. It isn't totally horrible, but itchy from time to time! Ugh.

I was also suprised at how much I worried/worry about M/C or something being wrong, every little twinge or cramp. That is also annoying!

Belly pics are in my signature, not too much there yet. But, I just started to buy maternity clothes because things were starting to get tight and uncomfortable.

I'm cheering you all on and can't wait for you to get your !!
