No weight gain last 3 weeks...should I worry?

Hi everyone! I'm due 8/16 (woo hoo!) - for the last 3 weeks, I haven't gained any weight at my appointments. My midwife always just asks me if I'm eating, which I am (though I'm vegetarian), and looks a little concerned, but says my uterus is still growing...

Anyone know if this is something to worry about? I tried finding info online, but just kept getting scientific journal articles that I couldn't decipher. Should I try eating more? With my weight at 204 (from 185 pp, which included 20 extra pounds from my last pg), I know I shouldn't be complaining, but I'm freaked out that baby isn't growing or something is wrong!

I've gained one lb in the last month. No one seems concerned about it. It's pretty normal for weight gain to slow in the last few weeks of pregnancy. I'm still eating, just less because I get full easily and have less appetite when it's hot out. I gained 30lbs this pr after baby arrives.

I'm at 39 weeks and haven't gained anything in the past three weeks either. Midwife says baby is still growing right along (my fundal height is 44cm) though so as long as I know I'm eating healthy, there's no cause for concern.
HTH!!

I've actually lost 5 pounds in the past two weeks. My doctor said it is normal. I've gained plenty throughout the entire pregnancy and baby is healthy.

It's pretty common to stop gaining weight or lose weight in the final weeks. Don't worry! As long as you're eating, and making sure that you're still getting nutritional food in you, I'm sure you're fine.

The midwife is just being cautious. Not gaining weight CAN be a sign that the baby isn't growing, but if your fundal height keeps going up (although it might stop, or go down soon too, as the baby moves into the pelvis), baby's heartbeat is consistent, and there are no other warning signs, then things are lookin' good.

Just make sure that you snack on healthy foods.

I have stayed the same weight for the last three weeks as well. In fact I had lost a pound at my last appointment. According to my records, I also had this same pattern with DS, and he was born good and healthy. I am vegetarian as well. My fundal height has lost a cm, but the baby is dropping into the pelvis, so my mw was not worried about that either. All looks normal and is following a similar pattern to how things went with DS. So it doesn't sound like something to worry about to me.

I stopped weighing myself. I don't have a scale and don't have access to one. My belly keeps changing and the babe moves and responds fine to stimulation. IMO the way the baby acts is a bigger deal than what the scale says.

I haven't gained anything in the past few weeks and actually lost a quarter of a pound (not that it makes any difference) at my last appt. No one seems concerned about it.

Don't worry. Just keep eating to hunger and eating good, high quality foods. If your uterus is still growing, babe is growing too

I've actually lost or not gained for the last 5 weeks. But, the babies are definitely growing!

Yup, same here. One week I hadn't gained anything, the next I lost 2 lbs, gained one back and then nothing again. I'm veg too but I don't think it has anything to do with it. I'll have gained 30 lbs this pg which I'm perfectly happy with.

It sounds like it's pretty normal, I wouldn't worry about it.
