Itchy b**b question

Hey mamas . . . especially those of you that have done this before . . . Is it normal or a preggo symptom to get itchy boobs (really nipples)? They started itching SOOO bad last night and I'm miserable again today. This is my first babe and I'm wondering if that's what to blame it on? Thanks

Happens to me every time but I don't know what causes it.

GL!

Yup, completely normal for me too. I think it has to do with the skin stretching and swelling.

I'm a hooter scratching fiend. The itchiness drives me batty. Dh likes to point out my itching habits all the time, too, which doesn't help. What am I supposed to do, just suffer?? :

I actually scratched the left one too hard last week and broke some capillaries. Ooopsie.

I think mine are starting to get a little squished in my bras, but I'm doing my best to enjoy a few months of REGULAR bras before I have to live in nursing bras again for a few more years.

Yep, me too. I just can't bear to break out the ugly nursing bras, I've so been enjoying my regular bras after 2+ years in nursing bras.

Mine don't itch as much as they HURT! They never hurt with my other two! And they are HUGE! I look and feel like I just got breast implants.

Yep, I got the itchies too! I hear it's normal, and will soon expand (ha!) to include our bellies. Whee!

Thanks for all the replies . . . it makes me feel much more normal and less freak-ish (as my DH gives me strange looks, haha). I keep telling him I'm being overtaken by an alien.

I have the itchy nipples, too. My right one especially is annoying me.. is it weird that one is bothering me more than the other??

Haha, I've already tried this in an attempt to soothe things. Nothing except going to sleep on my stomach (trying to enjoy that as long as I can) seems to help. This morning things are okay, so I'll enjoy it while I can!

Not unusual at all, and during my first pregnancy, my left one bothered me much more than my right. Wish someone had warned me about itchy boobs before Igot pregnant
