anyone else still without a name

sound off!! i would rather vent here than bash my dh. although i seem to be capable of both at once.

We're still without a middle name. Baby's first name is Luna, but we cannot come up with a middle name that we like enough to give it to her. I think we really set the stage with out first. We gave her a name that has a lot of deep meaning to us regarding our values. With this second baby, the name is seeming to go in a different direction. Luna just popped into my head, I like it because the moon is such a beautiful part of the natural world. But finding a middle name is killing me!! Everything we come up with seems silly or boring or meaningless. I don't know what to do. I'm NOT just going to not give her a middle name.

Yeah, we have no name. We have a couple options that we don't totally hate, but truthfully I don't really like anything. I'm HOPING when we see her we'll figure something out. The funny thing is, it's not stressing me out anymore. It really was up until about 2 wks ago, now I don't care. It's not like she'll be nameless forever, and whatever we decide she will grow into it

We do have a middle name - Kelly, that's dh's name.

That's exactly where we are Amanda. I don't love any of our choices but I don't really dislike them either. Just kinda "eh, not bad."

I'm not stressing though. I was but it didn't help me think of names so I decided to quit.

Yeah, we have no name either. I have boy and girl lists of names I like, but none are calling to me. I need to meet this baby first, I think!

I've just decided that I hate the name we had picked out. Ugh, I'm so sick of this. DH hates all the names I like.

No name here. We picked DDs name when we were in the hospital. DH says if that was good last time, we can do it this time.

We've "narrowed" it down to a couple names for each gender - but I'm not too happy with the boy's names we have. I just sent out a poll yesterday to some friends that didn't help any. I keep asking people who say that they named their baby only after born if they had regrets (that's what I worry most about) and nobody has said they wish they named the baby something else.... I guess that's comforting.

Part of our problem is communication. I dread any conversation (conflict) so I refuse to bring it up - he knows I don't want to so he doesn't either. The only progress made was via email.

We've also got short lists of names for both genders. I refuse to try and decide before baby comes though. Also, DF has his mind made up and I don't know if I like the choices he does, or whether I"m just pregnant and contrary.

The girl's middle name has been decided though, Hazel Ann, for his mother and mine.

This is what we did. We just couldnt decide, so we made a list of names for both genders that both of us liked. Then we crossed off ones that the other didn't like, which left us with a couple of names for both boys and girls. None of the names called to us specifically, so when DD was born (she was a surprise), we decided which name she "looked" like. And, her name fits her perfectly, so we're really happy with it.

Okay, just a wild throw out here, but we've chosen Clare (or you could spell claire) for a middle name for dd3, but it sounded nice with Luna, also derived from Clarus meaning clear, bright, famous.

I think we have names. But every other time I think we do, DH will suddenly decide that he doesn't like it and we're back to square one. It has been really hard! We're also in the camp of "yeah, we like that" but not "OH I LOVE THIS NAME SO MUCH." I think it is a big responsibility to decide someone's name and we're intimidated!

We don't have names yet. DH's contribution to naming this baby is to throw out any name I like. I'm hoping we'll be able to agree on something after the baby gets here.

no name here. I've started a list that I keep on the kitchen counter. Some days I cross a few off and then add some more. It's hard because some names I like to "LOOK" at but when I say them I don't like the sound or the feel in my mouth. Is that crazy?
I think we'll have to see the baby too. We've never done that before and I feel a little nervous about it.
DH and I have a hard time agreeing and he's also one that's really good at throwing my names out and not coming up with any of his own. :

Our babe is still nameless too.
Hmm, Kelly. That sounds JUST like my DH (who is also named Chad BTW)

Emily,
Does your Chad take perverse pleasure in the Verizon telephone commercials whose main character is named *Chad*?
Has he suggested that you name the baby *Chad* about 14 thousand times?
Is he obsessed with Fantasy Football?

If not, maybe you'd like to trade.

Nope. My Chad is actually very against naming the baby Chad (mostly becuase we have firends who are calling the nameless babe Chad Jr.).

My Chad has only come up with one name (Connor) but he never remembers the name he came up with (he always asks me, what name did I pick?). I'm like, um, if you can't remember, maybe we shouldn't use it. BUT it is his ONLY contribution to the name list so I can't bear to cross it off.

My dh is the one who picks the names. I have no clue what to name another person! This time, dh has only suggested two names - the first and middle name of a serious boyfriend I had in high school DH says that only women care about names of old boyfriends/girlfriends, so he doesn't care if the baby has the same name as one of my old boyfriends.

we've had names picked out since i was around 21 weeks.. but now i'm almost thinking i don't LOVE it anymore. *sigh*
