Same here re anemia, but I did have quite a bleed also, so I tend to blame it on that. The calcifications were visable. I might have a picture somewhere (although its pre-digital camera days, so I might have to scan it in.)

Anywho, what I'm seeing on my googling is that certain forms of Vit. D are more related to calcified placentas than calcium itself. But that's just what I found on the first pass, I've got a night of research ahead of me!
