Evelyn has arrived!

Birth story to follow, but the quick version is that after a super fast 3 hours of labor at home, water breaking with mec. in it, a mad dash down the interstate with a state trooper in hot pursuit, I pushed a beautiful, healthy baby girl out in 3 pushes 10 minutes after our arrival at the hospital! That's one way to prevent intervention!

Oh, it was a great labor! Still haven't had a chance to write the birth story, but I didn't even really figure out I was in labor until around 9 am. Our doula arrived about 20 minutes later. It was strong, but with DH and our doula massaging my back and helping me vocalize, it wasn't anywhere near as painful as birthing DS. I kept waiting for it to get that bad before heading out the door. Oops! At the hospital, the most awesome, natural child-birth supportive RN caught the baby. It could not have been more perfect (well, except for my dream home birth ... )
