This is actually really late. I'm sorry.

Maev Lin was born July 17th at 10:30AM.
6lbs. 12oz. 20in. long
She's beautiful and very sweet!

Labor was harder than I thought it would be. I pushed on and off for 4 hours (mw told me later that I have a very narrow pubic arch). I also got a couple of small tears and hemorrhaged a bit. I was able to have my natural homebirth though, and I am very happy about that! I would definitely say that birthing my daughter is my biggest accomplishment ever, and I am very proud of myself. Recovery has been easier than I thought it would be. Breastfeeding has been harder than I thought it would be, but it's getting better every day.

I was wondering when you were going to post!!! She is gorgeous and I hope that you can get some bfing support at LLL if you need it. It is a great place to meet like-minded mamas...

I am glad that you feel proud of yourself...you should! Birthing is no easy feat...

Enjoy the blissful newborn stage. It doesn't last.

congratulations!!! i second the 'breastfeeding gets easier'! having your first is so hard, in so many ways! i'm on my third in 4 1/2 yrs. and it's so much easier! as far as bfing goes, my secret for bfing success (i've been nursing my babies for 4 1/2 yrs straight now) is to 'put them on the breast for EVERYTHING'!!! seriously. even if they were just on for 1 hr straight and it's only been 5 mins... put them on if they so much as squawk! good luck!!!
