Holy Breastmilk!!!! I just hand expressed an entire OUNCE!! My breasts feel like they've been run over with a lawnmower, but damn, that's a lot of milk for me to get out on my own.

Amazing what happens with a bit of non-stressful attitude adjustment......

that's awesome!!! you must be great at that. i never could get a whole ounce out by hand expression (and i make alot of milk!). you do know that your baby gets more than that when he nurses, right? you could never (nor could a pump) get out what your baby gets out. good job, mama!

wow - awesome! i always got more milk out when hand expressing - pumps never worked for me...

I always wonder about this, since I have to do serious compressions to get the milk flowing even while they're nursing, and when pumping those compressions just work against the suction, and mess up the pump action. Regardless, I'm jazzed and I'm sitting here leaking (!!) while I wait for him to wake up and eat.
