So spill it.....

How did you know outside of tests and missing af? Come on I wanted to ask the fresh bunch of moms before you all got baby brained too much (j/k) but what changed in your mood? body? anything outside of practical medicine and obvious signs gave you the I know feeling?

Actually, I DIDN'T think I was pregnant this month! I was SHOCKED when I got my BFP! I was screaming like a lunatic! But I got my symptoms FAST after that!
I've never been one of those women who "knew." I just don't have that kind of intuition. So all I had to go on until the BFP was the fact the condom failed us 4 days before O .

I did have some "signs"--peeing all the time, crampy feelings that were different than usual, etc--but honestly I was paying so much attention that those could just truly be all in my head.

I totally didn’t think I was preggers this month. It was not our month. Plus, my PMS symptoms are so close to pregnancy (nausea, tender breasts, frequent urination, etc) I have learned not to rely on them. The only thing “unusual” about this cycle was that my O spotting was more intense. I also thought I had pulled a muscle in my upper abdomen around CD 26, it was achy, and I complained to my husband. He thought I was pregnant. I took the test to prove him wrong but instead I proved him right.
Looking back on it now... It makes sense. I mean, I lost weight, bought feminine hygiene products in-bulk and reserved a hotel with a whirlpool this month… knowing myself and the type of luck I have, I should have guessed this would be the month.
Sorry if I'm not a lot of help.

My main clue??? I didn't crave any chocolate a week before AF was due. That's my normal PMS symptom besides bloating... which I also didn't have.

Same as the others- this was the first month since we started trying to conceive that I knew for sure I wasn't! I honestly don't know what made me take a test 3 days before my period was due other than habit. I've had symptoms of pregnancy the other months (sore breasts, etc) and my period came right on time each month.

So maybe the trick is thinking you aren't?

DH and I both knew when we conceived. We felt a very strong presence in the room.

That seems to be the common denominator here!

It was our first month TTC so I really didn't think we'd get pg right away again this time. I did feel some slight cramping and was tired, but I kept telling myself I was just making up the symptoms.

Either my dates are off (which is a slight possibility), or I got morning sickness from nearly the second of conception. I have a peculiar little thing where I get what feels like a lump in my stomach that goes away temporarily when I eat, but comes right back fairly soon after. I get that every damn time. I've been trying to tell myself that it wasn't pregnancy this time.

i kept complaining to my dh that i was so nauseous! he asked me if i was pg, and i said no im not pg!!! we were not trying at all, but there was that one time we didnt use anything. after his question i started to drive myself crazy wondering if i could be. i was not paying attn to my when my periods came, so i didn't know if i was late or not. i finally decided to test jsut to stop the obsession. i couldn't believe when the test (which i took in the grocery store bathroom!! ) turned positive. surprise!

For me it was being *so tired* and also feeling constant nausea. Symptoms started about a week before my period was due and then when it went a week late, well...I thought a test was a good idea.

I chart, so I knew it was a possibility when my BBT's went up over 98 and my cervix was high and firm. I was also so incredibly tired that my DH kept saying I must be pregnant. I had also had a couple bouts of nausea.
I didn't think I was either... I had some spotting that convinced me I was about to start af, it was identical to the spotting I had the month before. Then AF never came! Dh told me I didn't need to test and that I would find out soon enough, but of course I had to anyway!

I felt like I had morning sickness a week before I tested. I also had headaches, peeing all the time, nipples hurt 5 days after O, crampy, I could smell everything, tired. I was pretty darn sure I was pregnant!

Okay, am I the only one with no symptoms?

I only knew because I chart.

At 5dpo I felt like AF was right around the corner...bloated, achy, just icky feeling. I had some heartburn and my boobs felt a little like they would when DS was little and it was time to nurse. I also had some dizziness and nausea when I would get hungry, and I was tired. My hips ached, which was one of my first indications I was pregnant with DS 4 years ago. I was absolutely totally convinced I was pregnant by 10dpo and was irritated that I felt SO pregnant and was still getting BFN's. Then I woke up on 11dpo and I was absolutely fine...no symptoms at all. Great energy and everything! I started doubting myself and began to expect AF, but on 13dpo those two lines finally showed up! I was so bloated that I wore maternity pants to work at 4 weeks. Admittedly, there wasn't much extra room in my regular pants The bloating has decreased some but I'm still wearing maternity pants (regular tops) because they are so comfortable! I don't know why we don't wear this kind of clothing all the time!

I was charting and using an ovulation microscope. I had ferning well past ovulation, which many think is an indication of pregnancy. If you're interested, here is my chart

to you!

Yesterday I sent my DH an IM that said:

(13:57:38) walkthruwalls: Ok, I just gotta say... I was tired, I napped for 90 minutes, I woke up MORE tired. I damn well better be pregnant!

Then later on, when I was out at Costco with my mom, I realized I was having that rapidly alternating slightly nauseous/ravenously hungry thing happening.

Until yesterday, I was SURE we'd missed again this month, as I had no symptoms (last time, my boobs hurt enough to wake me up at night, plus I had nasty cramping after orgasm... none of that this time). Oh, also, I had to give my son a bath, because he stank! ;-) Go go gadget supersmell!

I've been having this for the past three days or so. My m/s didn't kick in until 5.5 or 6 weeks with the other 3, so this seems early. I'm not *really* nauseated, just kind of . . . off. Keep needing to take deep breaths. It seems so strange to feel fine, then kind of bleh, then very hungry, all in the space of fifteen minutes.
