What bad movie do you secretly love? - Page 9

I've noticed both Dirth Dancing and the Chevy Chase vacation movies (which I love but only the old ones - I had to buy Christmas Vacation, cause I watch it every year).

My DH though (and most of our friends) will make relentless fun of me because I adore Good Will Hunting (and seeing Matt Damon for a couple hours doesn't hurt - he's the reason I've seen all three Bourne movies, which aren't much like the books). Heck, I'll watch anything with Matt Damon in it, but his character in Good Will is so... I dunno. But I watch it whenever I can. I really should just buy it and get it over with.

Evil Dead...the whole series. Even my mother likes them and she loves the Carry On movies(60's-70's serial comedies, very very cheesy and raunchy)
I don't think its a bad movie but... I watch it everytime it comes on... " A Knights Tale" I love the music LOL


Any kung-fu movie from the 70's, any. I love how they dubbed over the actors voices lol, and the fight scenes are so ridiculous

No, I don't think it counts as a bad movie. That's what I was kindly trying to point out to the person who originally posted it, but I guess I didn't do a very good job.

I *adore* that movie!!! I haven't seen it in years - I should netflix it if they have it.

My secret love is The Beach with Leonardo DiCaprio. It's just beautifully shot and the music is great. The book was so much better than the movie, but for once I still really liked the movie too.

When I was younger, my favorites were Beaches and Cocktail. : I'm trying hard to think of any movie I've seen in the last 15 years that I loved and was universally panned. There must be some, but nothing has come to mind so far.

OK, fair enough, Office Space isn't a "Bad" movie.

These, however, are. And I am not ashamed to say I love them:

Neighbors (aykroyd/belushi, 1983-ish)
Class of Nuke'em High
Reform School Girls
Rock and Roll High School (the Ramones movie, LOL)
Midnight Madness (Michael J. Fox's first movie)
A Chorus Line (the play might not have been so bad, but seriously, the movie was very, very bad)
Female Trouble (John Waters/Divine/sooooo inappropriate! )
200 Motels (sort of a Frank Zappa movie, more like 2 hours of hallucinations)
Pootie Tang (what to say about this one? It's WOW bad.)

Beaches!!! I used to love that movie and it wasn't until a few years ago that I realized that it was considered a "bad" movie. I think it's def. a chick flick, but to me it's still good!

I agree with you...those are some bad movies! However, I also love Rock & Roll High School!

OMG, Pootie Tang! That's it, you win for the best bad movie list so far. I am in awe of you bad movie list. Those are bad...really really bad. Those make most of the other movies here look like academy award material.

Yup, I can quote the movie from the beginning of the VHS with the previews, to the last lyrics of "everything I do" that plays through the credits.

I love that movie and I haven't seen it in so so long! Just thinking about that movie gives me such a nostalgic, high school-y feeling. I watched it over and over in high school and college. Robin Hood, Last of the Mohicans, and The Cutting Edge were my high school movies.

There is a bad movie I just can't help but love - The Cutting Edge. (The figure-skating hockey player movie). I feel I need to put the paper bag over my head for that one. :

My real favorite movie is WATER! w/Michael Cain. It's an eighties independent film and oh so funny.

It's about a teeny, poor British Carribean island where an oilwell suddenly strikes pure mineral water! Suddenly the British are interested in developing it, the Americans want it, the Cubans start to invade, and the local revolutionary army is actually a reggae band so there's plenty of dancing in the streets.

IMHO it's great political farce!

Of course it was panned as being shallow with charicatures for characters and really bad acting...oh but at least it IS LOVED by one person.

I thought of this one last night as I was typing, and some large dark force covered my light.. reminded me of the clip where they snag a pic of an alien at the kids' birthday party...
