DH and I tend to like stupid shut-your-brain-off-and-laugh comedies, but as most of our friends are more into intllectual/smart/spiritual movies (which we also enjoy) we keep our "tendency" tou ourselves

I have a favorite genre of bad movies rather than just one bad movie. I feel compelled to watch any horrible made-for-TV movie about the British royal family. : I can't explain it since I'm philosophically opposed to the very idea of royalty and these movies are always sooooo bad.

I love it when Gina Gershon gets pushed down the stairs, and when Nomi totally humiliates herself by saying "VerSASE" instead of "Versace".
Some parts of that movie are brutal to watch, though - like when Nomi's roommate gets raped.

I'm somewhat of a fan of what is quite possibly the worst movie EVER. No redeeming value at all. The acting is bad, the dialouge is bad, there's some rather disturbing violence...it's....

Showgirls.: I haven't watched it in a couple years, but we DO have it on DVD. The collectors edition, rated NC-17, with the shot glasses and "pin the pasties on the showgirl" game.

I'm never going to be allowed to post on MDC again, am i?

It's a terrible film... but I do like Showgirls, especially that part where she kicks the aSS of the man who attacked her room mate.

I also really liked Waterworld.. everyone seemed to hate it at the time, but I thought it was great

And Starship Troopers... another bad, but great entertainment film

I think we can all agree that anything by Paul Verhoeven - RoboCop, Total Recall, Basic Instinct, Showgirls, Starship Troopers, Hollow Man, Zwartboek - belongs on this list.

Also any movie with zombies Resident Evil, Dawn of the Dead, Shaun of the Dean, Land of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, Return of the Living Dead-the best by far.

And Cannibal the Musical. It's a Trey Parker film (before South Park, I think). Absolutely wonderfully horrible.

You should get the director's cut on DVD. "Cool Considerate Men" was left off the original theatrical version of the movie. "To the right, ever to the right..." It's scary how apropos that song is these days!
