Actually, it wasn't fixed after all. It never got below 80 degrees in here last night. Today was especially hot outside, so I called again this afternoon, it was up to 87 and rather humid inside my house (97 outside with a heat index of 110!). The maintenance guy thinks it's fixed now, but it has only cooled to 85 and hasn't cooled any more in the last 2 hours. He said he'd come back in another hour or so and check on it again. This is so frustrating! I want my a/c!!! I'm not doing too well (mentally) with the heat. I don't know how dh does it. It's been over 120 degrees in Iraq and he spends a lot of time working out in the heat, several hours each day. I will say though, he was ready to call someone up and chew them out that I've been without a/c for 48 hours now and I'm pregnant with 2 small children. The maintenance guys have been great and have spent many hours here working on it, but they have not been real quick about responding (probably the answering services fault). I sure hope it cools off tonight. I'm hoping that it's actually fixed and just not cooling because the house is rather big and hot and it's so hot outside.
