anyone not sleeping well? - Page 2

For the longest time I could not sleep before 4am now it is about 3am. This is hard but thankfully the kids are up late and sleep in and most mornings are ok doing that. I was thinking it was just me..... At least most of the disturbing dreams are gone when I do get to sleep. If nothing else I have found I enjoy a few late hours by candle light. Good for the mood.

I have had insomnia on and off for many years and so when I get into that cycle of 2-4am before I go to sleep and then back into a healthier (for me) cycle of 10-12pm, I do miss those extra TOTALLY QUIET hours alone!!

I had a really weird thing happen to me this morning. I woke up and put my hand on my head for some reason and I had no feeling in the back of my head. I poked it, I scratched it... nothing. At first I thought it was my hand asleep but it was actually numbness in the back of my head. So weird.

I, too, am getting up at all hours to pee: 11:00, 1:30, 5:30... makes me nuts. On the days I can sleep in, the dogs get me up at 6:30 for their breakfast... grrr. And the hip pain is awful every time I get up. And if I wake up and I am on my right side or my back I start to worry and then I am up thinking about THAT...

There's no reason to worry about your right side or back. Don't get upset with yourself! It's okay to find yourself in those positions.

okay, I feel a little better

I thought I was having sleep issues b/c of the twins, but since many of you are having them too at least I know I am not alone
I wake up several times to pee (and I have to 'lift' my stomach sometimes b/c the babies are smooshing my bladder to bad it can't empty). Then I can't fall back asleep, I am hot, I am cold, my legs and arms get all restless, it takes a Herculean effort to switch positions, my mind wanders, etc...
Thankfully, we have a latex mattress and my dh does not even notice all my tossing and turning. So he sleeps relatively well - so when ds comes in the morning - dh takes care of him until I can get up.

I slept so good last night for the first time in a long time!!! The kids slept in their own beds ALL night! I went to bed at 11 and didn't wake at all until 5:30 to go to the bathroom and turn up the a/c since it finally started working and got too cold for me. Then I woke again at 8:30 when the trash truck pulled in front of my house. It was rather loud and I couldn't sleep any more after that. I think not having kids in bed with me, combined with lovely a/c really helped me to sleep well! I'm so happy.

I have been having headaches at night but I think its from the A/C. Every week when I get my progesterone shot my BP is totally normal. Crappy sleeping has arrived indeed.I am a totall belly sleeper and have reached the point I cant do it anymore so.....I hate my left side even though its supposedly better for baby....so I just toss and turn all night.

I am waking up three-five times a night to pee. It's driving me insane... I am getting really sick of the middle of the night.

I love that feeling (NOT) when you get up and feel like your back is breaking. And then you finally get back upstairs to bed and the dog has taken your spot on the bed. Grr.

yes. if I am in my own bed, I cannot sleep hardly at all. I do the "body is preparing you for baby waking sleep"

but if i go out to the couch, I can actually get several hours of sleep at one time!!! (and so, then, does DH! : )

See, I've never understood that... Shouldn't I be well RESTED before I have to start waking up with the new baby?!?!

I'm really tossing around a lot and waking up at absurd times, too. Wide enough to look at my watch, etc...

I am really trying hard to not drink too much water before bed but I am sooooo thirsty all the time! It would be great to sleep more than a couple of hours before getting up to pee....

we need a tinkling emoticon.

Oooh, I'm looking forward to the next couple months when my pubic bone starts popping again. I swear, in the last couple months I was pregnant with DS, I'd roll over and I'd wake DH up because it sounded like a high heeled shoe going across wood floors.... and of course the associated "OWIE!!!!"
