Well, to be *quite* crude, it's pretty much the same idea as a dildo. I got one in the course of treatment for my vulvar vestibulitis. My Gyn. gave mine to me, and I just looked at the box -- it's from Syracuse Medical Supplies. Maybe your midwife would know something? And I spelled it wrong first time around, it's actually a dilator.

Maybe this is really silly...but, I don't see how those are big enough to help stretch for a baby...? Am I missing the entire point? I completely understand their usefulness for the other conditions listed.

I generally don't have pain with sex anymore except for from certain angles.

I was actually thinking the same thing.

I think you would do better with perineal massage at home preceding the birth and during your birth.
