Body books recommendation - are these ok?

Are these good books for a 12 year old with some knowledge about this stuff?
It's So Amazing! A Book About Eggs, Sperm, Birth, Babies, and Families
and
It's Perfectly Normal: Changing Bodies, Growing Up, Sex, and Sexual Health

and if not, can you recommend a better book?

I spent the past 12 years thinking I was open enough to talk about this stuff, but the best I can muster is answers to her questions, not start dialog. I am, unfortunately, a product of my mother's raising. Thanks for any advice you can give!

I have "It's so Amazing" and it is a really good book. It says for 7 and up on it and I think that is a fair guideline. I think "It's Perfectly Normal" is for older children and goes a bit more in depth. If my dd was 12 I would go for the older version.

You might also want to get a book that specifically talks more about the female body rather than just a general book about all of it. I am unsure what to recommend though!

Cool, thanks! I'm also getting Cycle Savvy: The Smart Teen's Guide to the Mysteries of Her Body cause TCOYF was awesome but I don't think DD would read the whole thing More suggestions welcome though!

If I'm not mistaken, one of those is for younger kids, and the other one is for older kids. We got one in the beginning of the summer for my nephew (7 y.o.) when his mom got pregnant. It's a very funny book with excellent pictures, imho.

When DSD was 9-10, I got her this book:
