Can stress shorten LP?

I've read that stress can cause your ovulation to be delayed, but that your LP is always about the same. I've had tons of stress this cycle because we moved 1 1/2 weeks ago, and I wondered if I'd have an anovulatory cycle or ovulation would be very delayed. I wasn't charting at all because I was just too busy to do so. I did have one or two days of EWCM, but I don't even recall when. But last night while we were dtd, my cervix was painfully tender, which usually happens right before AF arrives. I also had some cramping yesterday. But, it was only cd 20. My LP is usually 16 days, and the earliest I've ever O'd is day 9, so it doesn't really make sense that AF would be here already. And I haven't really had any of my usual pms symptoms that I would normally have by this point. So I'm wondering if stress can actually shorten your LP and that would explain it?

I read somewhere (can't remember) that stress can't delay a period after ovulation has already occurred, but can delay ovulation therefore making you "late". I had a pregnancy scare a few months ago and found that info on a few different reputable sites. You can try to google it if you want.

It sounds more likely that something else is going on. HTH!

Thanks- that's what I thought too. Well AF hasn't arrived anyway. I guess stress just causes things to get really wacky!
