first timer ctx Q's...

I keep getting these ctx around my lower belly and towards my back. I can't tell if they're bhx or not. They're not stopping me in my tracks bad but they are pretty uncomfortable. They started last night and lasted every 10-15 minutes or so for about three hours, overnight I had them irregularly, and now they've started up again. The only difference I can tell from the bhx I've been having for weeks now is that they're definitely a bit stronger and I get really weak legs with them.

So...I'm just waiting till some start to come and really bowl me over. I want them to start kicking my arse! But till then, are these signs of "real" labor? Just how bad is the real thing in the beginning? I need a little more clarification please.

i think everyone is different in the beginning. if i were you i would take a long vigorous walk and drink a big glass of water. if it is true labor then walking will make it worse and help it kick in! good luck!

Yes what you are feeling is similar to what you get at the beginning of real labor. They get stronger as time goes on. Some women they get more regular and some women don't really get a rythym going but they get closer together.

That sounds right to me mama. For the record my last labor was about 10 hours. My water broke in the morning, and I had managable contractions most of the day. They didn't get bad til an hour or two before she was born. I mostly piddled around the house, and held on to doorways for the bad ones.

Hope you are doing well, and that baby is on it's way, or shoot, already in your arms!!
